2018-11-17 14:36:53 +0000 UTCI've always loved the Dean Ellis cover for _A Fall of Moondust._ It's so very much a boat on the moon! But, alas, Lunar dust is probably not that fluid. However, Mars has enough atmosphere that it might have these pools of dust. Hmm, wasn't there a movie or TV show about Martian dust monsters? I don't remember if it was The Outer Limits or something else.
