My Twitter Has Been Suspended, Maybe Permanently.

According to the email I received, my account was suspended for hate speech. Yeah. Sure. Makes sense.
UPDATE: I am still waiting for a reply to my appeal. The official notice I received from Twitter was that I used hate speech against @TheSquid187, based on his/her membership of a suspect class. It seems anti-Semites are a religious affiliation?

But I also read through the Terms of Service, and it seems that "wishing harm on someone" is grounds for suspension. Things like "I hope you get cancer" or "go kill yourself." That's fair, but I would argue that "I hope you choke on a chestnut" is a gray area, since 1) it does not imply fatality; and 2) I was drawing on a Christmas meme.

I did something stupid, and I accept that. Nobody's fault but mine. But still, if the suspension stands and I am permanently banned, it will be on the flimsiest of grounds.
UPDATE #2: Still no word from Twitter, so I'm effectively banned for using a slur (??!) against this guy. Here's a sample of his recent efforts. (TW: anti-Semitism)

Obviously I appreciate being in touch with my friends around the world. But a large part of me is so disgusted that even if the ban is reversed, I'm not sure I ought to come back.
For now, I am lurking in a shell account that I will soon make private. Search for @Moviene98186722.
