September: Back on My Bullshit

First, the bad news. I will not complete the viewing of the oldies I selected for this month. I may yet get to The Clock, but there's no way I'll complete the Ray or Ophüls. So I will roll those over into next month, and the most recent films you voted on -- Bunny Lake is Missing, Four Nights of a Dreamer, My Night at Maud's, and Through the Olive Trees -- may need to wait until October. So yeah, sorry.
Now the good news. in addition to watching several films and writing 'em up for Cinema Scope's always-prodigious TIFF coverage, I am also writing catalog entries again for the Viennale. Plus, I have been asked to write the critical essay for the Viennale's Terence Davies retrospective. So there will be a number of fall festival favorites that will only get full write-ups here. Your tax dollars at work!
Of course, this is all assuming that I don't catch Covid at work. Fingers crossed.
And as always, thank you for your patronage, and your patience.
