DON´T READ IF YOU HAVEN´T READ THE MANGA: I completely disagree, the fandom always was on board with the idea of historia and eren having something. and colette its just another proof of this view as a blind spectator. The retcon after its too obvious, the "canon", its unearned and its one of the reasons its so "controversial" to put it lightly.

I’m agreeing with you on the idea of eren and historia having their own back up plan if it all fails but the love part I have to disagree. I believe it’s more of a mutual understanding between them to commit to birthing a royal child for the sake of their friends.

Well it's like a real world events (wars/conflicts) we had in our history. No one wants to pass out and each has it's own truth and desires. Can you blame someone who wants children even if it's cursed and furthermore selfish against others? It's all about a morality, each person has its own. And as you mentioned earlier for some nations it's all about war power and dominance. Can you blame them for wanting to take over and rule the world. And as i think and as Kruger said in 3 season there are no truth in the world. Every and each can make you believe that Ymir is blessed by god or cursed by devil. And the main plot it's all about the humans not the titans. Titans are just the trigger for the conflict. If they will disappear in some time humans will find another reason to hate each other and make new conflicts. I think Isayama did a great job miroring real world problems into his manga/anime, even when it messes so much with your thoughts and feelings.
