It's mostly a morbid curiosity a lot of the time, but nowadays I don't feel so personally shit for not keeping up a good release rate. Now, I feel a much more encompassing existential dread.
Currently, 90% of exit polls are "My financial situation has changed." That's fucking terrifying. Even 2 years ago or 1 year ago during covid it wasn't this bad, but now... the cost of living and the state of politics in the world and... sheesh.
Maybe I'm just feeling a little doom and gloom rn, but I just wanted to reach out and say that everyone who has had to drop patronage because they couldn't afford it anymore. I appreciate you all so much. Thanks for supporting me while you could, and I'd never want you to keep supporting me when you couldn't afford it.

(Side note, if anyone's confused about the double name it's because one time I jokingly changed my discord name to Amelia when I was RPing as my characters letting discord folks talk to them and the name made me a little gooey inside so yeah that's what happened. Don't judge!)

Got sidetracked making a reply or three, but... yeah I may have to join the ranks of paused backers. Trying to avoid it, but... yeah. Stupid day job is being extra stupid.

2024-08-30 23:59:34 +0000 UTCI kind of wish that Patreon had a way to change your payment date without having to cancel, skip a month and then start again. Even with doing it this way, I will probably only be able to continue until the end of the year. So Oct - Dec is probably the last I can do. As I've been reading some of the replies, I have to agree, the USA is burning (in more ways than one, the West Coast is almost litterally on fire). This coming November will be a big deciding factor on which way things go. Based on the current Presidential Canidates (and extreme organized religion infiltrating the government) it's still going to cause long term issues for anyone LGBT that is 'out' in public.
