Bad News Bears

Hello folks. I've got a bit of bad news today.

I'm afraid that, after an email from Patreon Support, I'm having to cancel Extracurricular and remove what was previously in the backer feed.

Patreon appear to be a little squeamish about anything that could potentially be percieved as depicting underaged characters, so even though the Extracurricular gang are depicted as 18 year olds in their last year of high school, the high school setting itself is an issue for them.

At a guess it's probably related to the issues they had a while back with card processing companies, who are notoriously wary of anything involving adult content, so I can't really blame them for erring on the side of caution.

Sucks for us, but I'll make sure to continue providing high quality boring vanilla smut regardless.

hopefully you'll make the material available some other way? Brad Guigar of Evil Inc zips all his content and makes a dropbox link available once a month after the Patreon payments have gone through.

Honestly, I would see those girls more as university students experimenting if this would make this work. I love your work but it also pains me to see this go

Maxim

A graduation party maybe? So that there's no doubt of their ages.

A Red Mage Named Blue

I too support the idea of changing them to college students. There’s nothing saying they couldn’t be attending a school that requires uniforms. But it’s all up to you my dude.

Mark

So...... University blues, perhaps? :)

PeeboThuhlu (^_^)

Its a shame to hear it, but I think your idea to age them up into college and use their majors to inform their characters is a good idea. Would you consider making a dropbox for the stuff you've had to remove from the feed, just so there's an archive of it?

Sean Kay

Yeah, hosting on a separate site usually works.

Zatarra Manetti

Othe artists in a similar situation started using dropbox links for nsfw stuff and it seems to work fine.

Russou

I've always just enjoyed designing characters above anything else, honestly.

The way I see it is that a) the plot changes so that the girls are freshman college students, b) keep the plot the way it is and just post the images on a site we can all get access to and just let us know on here that there is an update, or c) abandon the whole series and start something new. I vote for one of the first two options.

Rox79

Right? I'd offer up a second pledge... But I'll follow the Extracurricular girls where ever they go.

Re-jigging it to being a college setting should be fine according to the support person I spoke to. It might give me an opportunity to better define them according to specific things they're studying anyway.

Teh Dave

Being on two different platforms for two different crowds would it really be that bad and then there's the whole artistic Freedom that you don't have over here. You don't miss your Mortal Kombat or Angel Corp guro art? I wood definitely pledge lot more for guro. That just my opinion as a customer.

Thomas Manthei

So they're prestigious uni students with a required uniform.

CarameLatte

While I don't agree with this particular decision, Patreon are generally really good in terms of support. Most platforms would suspend or ban without warning rather than reaching out and explaining their reasoning beforehand. Plus subscribestar hosts a bunch of fucking goobers I'd rather not be even remotely associated with.

Teh Dave

What about subscribe star they pretty much let you do whatever you want? There's even people doing Guro on subscribe star without issue? I pledge over there :) after the first couple patreon purges chased away many creators.

Thomas Manthei

Patreon's quality consistency shines through again. If they are complaining about the setting can't you just change it all to college? Have had success before by trying to get them to define why its not appropriate and change just that.

Any chance we'll be able to see Extracurricular anywhere else?
