First roll of 120

Patreon saw these first! I was gifted a Yashica 635 for Christmas and this is the very first roll I shot. At this point the only full roll of medium format film I've ever shot.

For those of you who don't know 120 film is a medium format, meaning it's much larger than the more mainstream 35mm. For a better idea the bit of film that's exposed with 35mm is 24mm x 36mm (standard) verses the 120mm which is 152.4mm x 152.4mm (it can vary slightly by camera). All in all 120 is more detail with a larger camera.

The first three images you see above start in Alameda with a double exposure due to me being so excited to shoot I didn't look up how to advance the film. After that I did some loops in the Oakland and Berkeley hills to finish off the rest of the roll. Image 5 and 12 are of Mount Diablo, image 11 of San Francisco in the distance, and the rest of the images are taken at random pull offs or my secret locations!

Here's a PDF with some fun bits about Yashica medium format cameras from Yashica themselves! http://www.yashicatlr.com/PDFs/Yashica%20Range%201964.pdf
