Eastern Sierras BTS & Update

We spent the day just wandering, playing in the snow fed river, and connecting with with nature. I am VERY excited to get this film back. I took three cameras out because I can never just decide on one. I took a 120, 35mm, and my trusty Polaroid.
With this I wanted to give you a little life update too, I haven’t been as active on here as I originally wanted to and I think the last update I put out mentioned me spending the Summer in Alaska. Welp, plans have changed as mine so often do. I was going to go to Alaska but decided I wanted to spend this Summer in Oakland. I have a few really wonderful opportunities doing photo work for some farms and businesses that I just don’t want to give up at the moment. This will also be my first Summer living downtown Oakland with everything opening back up. I moved to Oakland the first week or so of Covid and never got to really experience the city at its all.
All of that being said, another big move I’ve made recently is me quitting my job a few days ago. I’ve decided that this is the point where I’m going to start putting my all into MY work. I’m over working for someone else, I’m tired of my labor allowing someone else to live the life they want, at the expense of my own sacrifice. Overall, capitalism sucks.
This summer I’m going to spend traveling the US, hopping between the Bay, Montana, Portland, Chicago, and wherever else I can find photo work. Next week I leave for Chicago. So, wish me luck.
