Important Announcement - Taking a break
Added 2022-06-03 17:10:16 +0000 UTCHello everybody! As of this posting, book 4 is now 100% complete on Patreon for the Xiantian ($10) tier and above. As many of you already know, I've been struggling with RSI for a long time now, and that struggle is still persistent. I've decided to bite the bullet and get used to using dictation software for my writing, but it's an entirely new skill that has to be learned from scratch. Rather than subject you all to the horrendous quality that my practice with speech recognition is liable to produce, and because of some IRL obligations that have piled up on me, I'm going to be taking the rest of the month off.
Honestly, a break like this has been long overdue. I've been busting my ass on this project for over a year straight, and while I've loved every moment, it can get pretty stressful. This is not an indefinite hiatus. I've paused payments for July, so nobody who is currently a patron will be charged (if you're yearly, uh, sorry) and the next release is scheduled for Monday July 4th.
As always, thank you so much for all your support, and I hope to see you all again after the break. I've got big plans for book 5!

Headsets with a boom mic (a mic in front of your mouth) are REALLY helpful. I also recommend ON THE EAR headsets, which rest... on the ear. Over the ear headsets which are better at noise cancellation, tend to make the inner ear all... moist... and sweaty...
