Added 2020-08-04 16:32:35 +0000 UTCWhats up guys! I'm back with another Bass Breakdown. This video is a tutorial on the song "We're All Thieves". This song was already partially written when I first joined the band, including the bass line for the verse which is the most interesting part of the song. I think Colin had written that part, and I remember feeling a bit nervous when joining the band, because I hadn't really written any bass lines before then that sort of pulled the song in a new direction. I wasn't sure if I was able to do that. Circa songs are tricky because usually neither guitar is holding down a solid melodic foundation so its hard to know when to do "cool" shit and when to just hold it down. This part is a prime example of when doing "cool" shit really works. Thanks Colin! or Brendan! or Anthony! I can't remember who wrote it!!!!
