This month's cover is 'Obstacle 1' by Interpol !

I was obsessed with Turn On The Bright Lights around the time our band formed. This song especially played a huge role in influencing me to write the music for 'In Fear and Faith'. Probably not all that apparent in our version because we tweaked it quite a bit but if you listen to the Interpol version you'll hear it right away. I loved the modern take on this very Police-esque groove and the insanely funky drum and bass juxtaposition to the staccato guitars. I listened to this whole album recently and it still holds up. Such a cool mood to just live in for awhile. Reminds me of fall, our first house, falling in/out of love and chain smoking cigarettes.
