'Humalong' (Stare Like You'll Stay) Instrumental Pt 2

Since Nick posted that awesome find of my very first iteration of the 'Stare Like You'll Stay' riff I wanted to follow it up with the first fleshed out instrumental of it that I made...
I wrote this during the On Letting Go writing period (2006) when I was blasting out multiple instrumentals a day. I honestly never thought it would become a Circa song.... it seemed too... happy? hahha. I gave the idea the working title "Humalong" as I felt it to be very reminiscent of the band Hum. So many of our working titles back in the day would just be a shorthand of what other band or song it reminded us of LOL.
I think it was the Hum aspect of the idea that eventually sunk its teeth into Brendan and while we didn't touch the idea as a band for a few years I remember Brendan being really adamant about Anthony putting vocals on it when we were demoing for Blue Sky Noise. Once he did there was obviously something special about it and while it didn't fit BSN it was a perfect and crucial part of Appendage and a song that I feel like is possibly one of the more important lyrical songs of the band.
As usual forgive my bad drumming and the overall crude sound of the demo, it was just to birth the idea <3
