"How did the idea for this game come to me?"

This question gets asked so often that it's time to share the full story. Spoiler: it's a mix of a boring job, being laid off, and... soup.

For years, I worked at a large company creating mobile games about food and kitchens. Everything felt repetitive, soulless, and driven solely by making money for the big bosses. I was drawing food and locations for yet another clone of a thousand similar games.

Every day I asked myself: why am I doing this? Then, one day, I was laid off. But, luckily, instead of feeling down, I had an idea: why not create something new, something mine, and unusual?

That's when the idea for a game about a soup sitting in the fridge came to life. The soup then "came to life," and the game took on a clicker mechanic. The idea seemed simple and achievable. I added a magical world, crazy creatures, unusual items, and everything started to come together into a full game.

The result is Souper Game, a quirky and fun story that I am currently actively developing. It’s about three completely different personalities trying to live together. Will they manage to get along? We’ll see...

Wow! Too bad my story is much more boring than that! :D But the NDA at that company looked like I was actually working for a top-secret organization!

Life is constantly changing and I believe that sooner or later life smiles on talented people. I don't know if you think it's nonsense, but I believe in karma. Everything you give to life, whether it's good or bad, ends up coming back to you when you least expect it. What I mean is that every great person ends up getting their reward for so much sacrifice and effort. Congratulations to all of you who are participating in this great project. You only have to see all your effort, the fruits it is bearing.

seriously? you were drawing images of sausages and they were making you move every 6 weeks? my friend i suggest you re-invent this story. something like: "I was an elite artist working 24 hours a day hiding corporate secrets into artwork so they could effortlessly cross borders. As you can guess this work was not only tricky but dangerous! At any moment corporate agents could have me arrested. The men I worked for knew the risks and always kept me one step ahead of trouble moving across Europe as if it were a giant chessboard! This week Paris, next week Milan, I was always on the move. I could tell you about the women, but I promised my dear wife to never mention the women. But, yes. I am an artist, so of course, there were women. Alas, they could not guarantee my safety any longer, and just like that I was out of the action. But once you get a taste of the "life" you never can go back. I was hungry for the game. I was hungry for the hustle, but mostly I was hungry. And when you're hungry; you think Soup!"
