In case it's not clear what is happening, the worm presses against her tummy (aiming at her womb as if it can sense where her uterus is), and merges with her body. The skin of the worm connects and becomes an integral part of her skin. After it's all the way in her belly, her skin in that area returns to its normal pigment. The fusion creeping underneath the bikini-bottom in the 3rd panel indicates that this is a biological interaction and will ignore synthetic materials like polyester or nylon.
If you look closely at the 3rd panel, her midsection jumps up. This is indicated by the arc line of the bikini-bottom, the new position of her midsection in corellatioon to the lounge chair, and the new view of her back arcing upwards.
The foreground elements also exceed the background borders to make it feel more 3-dimensional.
At first the bikini top was gonna have strings going over the shoulders, but I've done that a lot already and I wanted a more elegant look for this lady. So it's a twisted cloth in the middle without any shoulder support. I think subconciously this girl was inspired by Mokoto from Ghost in the Shell because of her hair style and color.
I was going to leave out the backgrounds for the 4th and 5th panel to highlight the action, but I'm glad I decided against that after trying out real life photos for the backgrounds.
Although I planned on this being a 6 panel comic, I think I'll add two more panels in a re-mastered version.
After posting I've noticed some small mistakes to fix but I have to go to bed, so I'll upload the .psd file after I fix those things.
