This is one of my favorite characters from Girls und Panzer. Her name is Anchovy and she represents the leader of the Italian tank team.
I started making a generic anime girl. Then I felt like giving her twintails. Then I realized she might as well be anchovy. So then I wondered how to colorize her lingerie. I wanted it to have an Italian flag theme. Should I make her left cup red, right cup green and panties white? That just seemed like she was wearing 3 sets of underwear. Plus there were the leggings and garter to think about. And I really liked white as a bridal theme. So finally after a few versions I made the green, white and red trim on every piece. The pattern was made before I decided to use Anchovy, so the trim itself has no Italian themes, it's just my original design. The trim on the side of the leggings are traditional frills.
Usually anime blush has red lines but as I did that I couldn't help but feel like they looked like violent scratches, so I left them out. Personally I like the blush without the scratchy lines because it looks like a doll's blush. It's more delicate and dainty, classy, and classic, fitting to the WW2 theme.
