(Do not share this, it is your paid privilage!)
I plan on making a part 2 to this piece, as well as an animated gif.
Did you notice the symbol on her uniform? : D She attends Intorsus Volo High, or something... : 9 I would like to establish reoccurring characters and company logos for future works that have story involved, kind of like Weyland-Yutani or Stark Industries.
Depending on what I think the piece needs, I will color it or not. Somtimes I think a piece should stay greyscale so that the audience fills in their ideal colors with their subconcious, because sometimes I don't feel like any colors are working. Other times I am convinced certain colors are the only fitting palette.
If you look closely, I reduced the width of her torso by a few inches on both sides. Often I draw body parts bigger than how I want them to be, and it has to be drawn a second time. Techically, it might be realistic, but for many anime styles an impossibly slim torso is the norm and familiar to the eyes as far as anime is concerned.
Her hand is clentched around the pen or pencil, her elbow rests on the desk, her legs are squeezed together, her lips are puckered and her shoulders are contracted upward. All of this shows tension in her body.
