Originally the background was going to be completely saturated but it made it too hard to see the characters.
I think the bright orange hair was inspired by Lina Inverse. The medieval fantasy theme must have done that.
She is from Slayers. It's a 10/10 show, I highly reccomend it.
The way the creature makes the knight taller is very exciting. Height is a symbol of power. She doesn't exactly want this power, and that confusion causes excitement. She also can't control this power, also exciting.
The tentacles weave under her armored skirt, symbolic of how it's violating her, infesting her and taking over her.

I did not play Dark Souls III. I did play the first one, Demons’ Souls and Bloodborne :)
