This video has to be in 2 parts because the updated Sketchbook app makes time lapse recordings longer. Not complaining, just an observation.
There is a very specific designed cylinder on the backpack of the girl. I think I subconsciously copied the cylinder on the back of the waist of Star Wars Stormtroopers in the original trilogy. Star Wars is probably the biggest influence in my life. As a kid I watched it literally every day for years.
The ridges in the spacesuit imply multiple things: articulation, insulation, high tech, and softness. Making them a different color implies they are made from a different material, which implies history of engineers designing her suit.
The "I-V" on her shoulders do more than just homage my initials. "I-V" can mean the fifth of something that starts with the letter "I". "I" probably stands for a type of spaceship, space station or job role. This further implies a whole universe and lore to be explored by the character and therefore the audience. This helps make a piece more realistic, implying there is an established history in this fictional setting.
If you notice, and I'm not sure if I mentioned this before, She has kneepads but no elbow pads. It would be consistent to give her elbow pads, but subconsciously this makes it look like she is wearing "less". Symbolically, this is akin to toplessness. For me, taking away the elbow pads is taking away an article of clothing, which is erotic. It also slightly makes her upper/lower mass ratio more dramatic, aka wide hips/thin waist.
