great reaction, to your question about the trolls were paralized or killed, they were killed, the reason for confusion is because DESPAIR AURA has 5 level, level 1 (the one used int he fight" with hamsuke) is to paralized, but in level 5 that ainz used is instant kill.

He didn't use Time Stop in his fight with Shalltear, in the first place Shalltear should have countermeasures against time stop magic in place, it's one of the most basic necessities if you are fighting against other players.

Regarding your comments at the end about ainz vs other characters...Ainz is strong in his setting, but even back in the game he was in, he was ranked mid-tier in his guild in a fight. It's talked about in the LN, but Ainz's victories in PVP usually came when he had time to plan and prepare, because strategy is his strongpoint. That being said, against someone without the same tools from his game, he's super dangerous. Way back in season 1, he showed a talent he talks about soon. He can use time stop magic, and was in the 5% of players who could time a spell cast to end right as time stop canceled and hit someone without them ever knowing what happened. So he used 'The Goal of All Life is Death' which removes instant death immunity, then stopped time with a silent Time Stop, then widened 'Wail of the Banshee' to kill Shalltear, her clone, and her minions all in one shot of instant death magic. She only made it through because she had an item stashed that was a one-time auto-revive.
