15 min storm = 5 hours more work

A little spoiler to what you’ll see in tomorrow’s episode. We got a storm today in Belgium and here is the result. Our newly built greenhouses didn’t pass this test. And some of our beautiful tulips as well 😞

If you made some incisions in the plastic sheeting, to let the wind pass through with less resistance, would that cause the plants to get too cold? I don't know just how fierce your winters are. (Your garden is looking so lovely!)

Mike

Luckily not much damage to the trees and bushes in the pots. One sweet cherry tree in a pot broken, that’s a pity - Illia will try to save it but we will see. And a couple of broken branches.

Marina P.

It looks like some of the potted trees took a hit as well. Storms are hard to predict sometimes!

Darn weather! Never gives us a break. Glad you will overcome it. And the garden will be gorgeous one day soon. ♥️

I’m sad about the tulips, but very happy greenhouses can be saved by just being secured 👍💗🥰

Janet Tarantino

Yes, they were, but not enough. Illia was planning to anchor them even deeper during this week but the weather had its own plans.

Marina P.

Indeed! everyone in the house and caravan has some now 😁 The greenhouses can be definitely rescued, just unfortunate timing for the storm.

Marina P.

It seems that they need to be anchored to the ground in some way.

Tom Lahaye .

Oh no! I hope the greenhouse can be rescued. At least you’ll be able to enjoy the tulips in a vase.
