Inside the decaying Castle of Heers

In this video, we visit the Castle of Heers in Belgium, which is normally closed to the public. But since we became the members of Herita organisation, we could join a special guided tour and explore the castle (inside and outside) and all the outbuildings and learn about its past. Join us as we walk through the castle. It's a real gem!

I hope you will enjoy the tour as much as we did. We plan to share more of similar tours with you, once we get the opportunity and time.

Yep, we asked for permission. In fact they are very happy to promote their organisation and their heritage sites in all possible ways. To attract more volunteers and donations. But also people's attention to these beautiful historical places.

We are IT-ers. Out of experience it's better to keep all interfaces in the language they were designed, whether it's written or spoken LOL

Marina P.

did you have to get special permission from the organization to take a video and post it?

It always surprises me how much English you use in your everyday lives. I thought you would use your native language for the GPS voice.

Thank you very much for your feedback, Mike! It feels great indeed to continue working on the main house.

Thank you for the tour of such an interesting site, with architectural and historical details. If you give more such tours, I will enjoy them; but your work on your own home is even better. It is exciting to see you returning to the farm house proper after the other projects (milk barn, greenhouses, landscaping, etc.), which were interesting to watch.

Mike
