What we paid for our new windows + front door (color reveal included!)
Added 2024-09-23 17:30:02 +0000 UTCHappy Monday, everyone! In today's video, I would like to share the costs of our new wooden windows, the front door (and yes, I'll be revealing the color—spoiler alert!), and the window sills.
Feel free to drop any questions in the comments below—I’m happy to answer them! Enjoy the video!

Thank you, Mike! I am so glad yo hear you like the door, we chose less "safe" color and it turned out to be a win :-)

2024-12-01 11:28:42 +0000 UTCPrices vary around the world. Here in California you are in the middle of the range. I must say that your entry door is beautiful! It resonates brilliantly with the bricks; a white door would have been OK but without the "spirit" or energy that your choice brings. Excellent choice!

2024-11-07 22:59:57 +0000 UTCHi, I cancelled my membership but don't take it personal. Recent events made me realise other people need my support more. I keep following you on youtube and I wish you all the best.

2024-11-07 09:01:31 +0000 UTCHi, 1700 is better, but many. :) About 5-6 big windows (similar like you) and some smaller ones.

2024-09-30 08:45:02 +0000 UTCThank you so much, David! Yes, indeed, I was shooting in the milk shed. Great idea for all the different selfies! I will try and post here the collection.

2024-09-29 12:38:22 +0000 UTCThank you so much, Glynn. When Illia comes across a nice and cheap mirror on second hand sites, he buys it. A couple are even gratis I think :-)

2024-09-29 12:35:23 +0000 UTCHi, thank you so much for your kind words! Now when the windows and the door are there, I can't wait to repoint the joints to make it all work together better. We would definitely need this bag then. To repoint the whole house is quite a project but it will change the look of the house a lot.

2024-09-29 12:15:33 +0000 UTCHey Jirka, thanks you! It's a bit less - the door was approx 5k (we didn't have a separate offer for it but we were told the range). So 13 windows for 22k, making it 1700 euro for a window. Indeed expensive, but having 3 offertes and talking to colleagues who build/renovate as well, seems to be a regular price here in Belgium. Hopefully in Czech Republic the prices are more reasonable *fingers crossed*. How many windows do you need to replace?

2024-09-29 12:05:54 +0000 UTCWow, it's cozy. I was surprised by the price, we are about to renovate very old wooden windows in our old village house in the Czech Republic and I hope we won't get into the amount of about 2000 Euros per window (or did I look wrong?).

2024-09-29 09:18:01 +0000 UTCI am so excited to see this finally coming together. Windows and doors are a big deal and these look amazing! As a side note my mom worked as a stonemason for a bit and having watched her work I recommend Ilia try a masonry grout bag for all the tuck pointing he is doing. Keep up the great work!!!!

2024-09-27 14:31:44 +0000 UTCThank you for sharing this informal update. Love the windows... and the door. Not sure about the white silicone but trusting you to make the best decision in the end. Love the decorating you have done in the milk shed, your collection of mirrors is lovely.

2024-09-24 02:08:06 +0000 UTCLove the little arch detail in the window frames. And the red is so spot on. That is the "milk shed"(?) that you are shooting in? VERY cozy...thinking about where it started. May need more mirror selfies...
