Added 2023-08-14 03:19:37 +0000 UTCHey everyone 💗 I’m feeling nervous lately that Osora won’t perform as well on webtoon originals as it does on canvas. It might be irrational, but I am so afraid that many of my readers will stop reading it since it’s going to be relaunching from the beginning (even though I’m adding in a bunch of new scenes and stuff)!!
The biggest reason that it concerns me is because if it doesn’t perform well enough it might not be renewed for another season which would mean it would have to end early. I’m really hoping that doesn’t happen because creating Osora is my passion and my whole life - so I want to make sure to make it as great as I can!!
Is there anything you want to see more of in the new version of Osora? I’m going back and fixing things that I felt I could have done better and adding extra scenes.

I came from your web toons original and got your patreon because I was raving for more. I can't wait to see what I'm reading here expanded upon and done in the originals format. (Hopefully with less cut-aways 😊😜😳 [sorry I'z a naughty girl lol]) I love this story!

I always love when medieval fantasy settings explain the economics of society well - because a realistic world would have 96% of people be farmers and take decades to recover from an even minor war, or a medieval society without plague would quickly grow in population to the point where every person is in total poverty. It doesn't have to be much though, but someone magic to make food production easier or medicine/birth control could make it a lot more realistic tbh

Idk if this is over but I think another thing I saw on a webtoon original artist talking about their experience was that no matter what- your first chapter is going to be way different than your later chapters. And that feels like duh but I feel like webtoon original artists also learn on the job! We love you not for at which the quality you are consistent with, but you and your identity as an artist and a person (and how it translates thru osora). So don’t think you have to make it perfect! Bc it’s an unsustainable way to put out art you know.sorry I’m rly not trying to lecture and this is all conjecture

I want to know the cultural expectations of different genders and social classes in their kingdom, and therefore how those norms inform the different characters. How big is their kingdom? How much is at stake for the royal familes? Where did the Sergos come from, and how does their society interact with those of the humans? I recommend also giving the Sergos a distinct cultural aesthetic through clothing and the backgrounds of their homes, which characterizes them as very much different from the humans (at least in the characters' minds), but no less sympathetic or interesting. I do feel in the current story that it's strange how little remorse the humans normally feel about killing the Sergos like pests, despite the fact that they look, sound, and behave just the same as them (besides the horns). Some cultural/historical context for this attitude would help give more insight into the characters perspectives!

I personally would like to see more backstory of the Sergios as well as how Catalina’s crush initially developed on Osora. I think her relationship with Celia has unfolded much more naturally. And definitely longer chapters! ❤️

2023-08-15 13:28:13 +0000 UTCI reread the comic a few times already so I don't think you have to worry. Also if you add full chapters instead of parts it'll be read slightly faster. I think Paintword did that with "Go away, Romeo". The story is great, the art is awesome, the characters are lovely... I don't think you have anything to worry about. Webtoon will make some ads too so you'll probably receive a lot of love from the new readers. Ans about the older ones... Personally I will make sure to add a heart and a comment to every chapter and I recon a lot of others will do that as well! ❤️ So please stop worrying, kepp going and stay strong and healthy 😉

And I dont think you'll need to worry about losing old readers. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that I love Osora and I wont mind rereading a few chapters so that we can see everything through! Your story is great and I think its good enough to be up there with Lore Olympus and comics like that!!

Celia is a very sexual person and although she really cares for Catalina, her attraction to her definitely starts of sexually more so than romantic. I am excited to add more things in with their storyline and change things!!

I love the story as it but I love backstorys and historical contexts. You should add what you think is needed. Personally I would love to know more abt the kingdom and Osoras mum. No matter what happens we are with you!!! This is such a great comic and we are all so happy that it's becoming and orginal!!!!

I’m actually pretty new into reading Osora but I need you to know that this story needs to be told and the people that support you will be by your side 100%! I’ve literally read it already 3 or 4 time over and it get better and better every time! I’ve even told a few friends to go read it as well and they all fell in love with the story too! When I heard it was gonna be a WEBTOON’s original I got so excited! My friend who I referred it too was also stoked! I can not wait to start from the beginning again and get an even greater understanding of Osora as a character and a person! Can’t wait for more scene to build more on a character that I absolutely adore. And you better believe I’m telling as many people as I can to read this beautiful story. You’ve got this! You are a beautiful story teller and illustrator. You have already created something that many people love and I know the minute it’s able to reach more people they will fall in love just like I did! Osora is everything I've been looking for in a protagonist I can really relate to, and the exploration of gender and sexuality has been such a great focus for the narrative. I'm excited to see whatever scenes get added to an already-wonderful story!

I love all the character designs and I love watching their personalities and stories develop. Imo you deserve this more than any of the other canvas writers I follow (not that it's a competition I just mean you do *amazing* work). This comic has help me so much with my gender identity and now that it's an original it can help so many more people. We don't have enough content with nonbinary and queer lead characters so this makes me so happy. Keep it up♥️

One thing I would suggest when you go back is making it more clear in the beginning that Osora doesn’t feel like a girl. When I first started reading I thought maybe they would identify as a girl as the story progressed and they figured themselves out. I remember some readers would even use she/her pronouns for Osora in the beginning which just made it more confusing. Maybe add some scenes in the first few eps making it more clear that while Osora is in a journey of discovery, they don’t want to be girl. Super excited to read your story as an original!! ❤️

I know it’s part of a character development and somehow critique but it took me a while to understand it and almost dropped the comic because of it. any Kind of early statement about it would be enough to keep also the readers really sensitive to it.

But you already have a very dedicated fan base that is already super excited about the relaunch and ready to read and support anything you release! And you will get even more, because Osora is wonderful, filled with great characters and set in a a really interesting world, and your artwork is gorgeous to boot!

Osora is an amazing story with artwork to match, there is a reason WEBTOON contacted you. You deserve it. Osora so far has been a piece of incredible art that you have created around adult obstacles like work. I can not wait to see what you do now that it can be the main focus and get the hours put in that you have had to eek out before hand. I believe you and Osora will soar far beyond what you have accomplished so far. I think more people will stick around than you think, I for one will, and that you will gain many more readers too. Don't overthink it and get stuck in your head, I do that all too often and it's more trouble than it's worth lol. You are talented and loved, trust in that talent and in yourself. We all already do.

2023-08-14 05:39:42 +0000 UTCHmm- I stand by what everyone said on here. I truly think that Osora is a uniquely beautiful comic and has also had a rly big impact on me too. I do think that sometimes the character design of Catalina feels a bit over sexualised (Which is obviously a choice to her character bc it’s relevant to her storyline), my only issue with it is not the fact that she’s “too sexy”, but sometimes I can’t tell whether Celia is only physically or emotionally attracted to Catalina. Again, this might be because we have yet to see the development of their relationship. But perhaps it may be something to think about! Because I think, to create a compelling storyline of their love (if that is the direction you intend to take) then an emotional pining would be good to include!

Just a few subtle moments would make it a bit more interesting. Honestly the original reason why I even started reading Osora was because of them, and a bit more of them would be amazing. Even a scene or two of Catalina having a bit of gay panic over Celia would cause me to reread it. Otherwise when I was first reading Osora I absolutely adored it and I’m really excited for any new scenes and fixes that are done to it! (Also maybe a bit more about side characters, kinda giving them a bit more of a background like that one toxic couple that I forgot the names of)

I’d love to see more childhood flashbacks but also I loved when you’d add little drawings at the end of an update! I think seeing the characters in different outfits/scenarios is a really fun touch! Overall I wouldn’t worry, your comic is an amazing read and I get excited every time you update! Don’t stress too much!! Stay hydrated!

The original is going to be boosted simply because it’s an original, so that means more eyes any way. And you have all of us already supporting that will continue to support. I'm very biased tho lol. idk, for me, this series has been so important to me across my life like pre coming out as trans and even realizing my feelings, but this was a stepping block in queer media that helped me realize that. I think people who love this series, will stick around. and originals will give it the recognition it deserves :) osora is like no other webtoon people have seen, so I think it'll do well:) EDIT: would chapters be longer btw? :)

Osora is an amazing comic with a super unique and amazing art style, and amazing storyline and characters you can't help but relate to and fall in love with. Don't get in your own head! You wouldn't have been chosen for originals if the content wasn't amazing!
