the amount of fanfic in this episode is unreal. Keep guessing queen, you'll get in the ballpark eventually

7:35 One US POW in Vietnam actually did this. He literally pretended to be mentally handicapped etc. As a result, not only did he not get beaten, but he was able to gather loads of information. When released during a prisoner exchange, he was able to give the US loads of info about the POW conditions etc, proving the North Vietnamese were lying.

adore this sokka focused episode. Also someone pointed out how Sokka has learned the martial art of all the four nations

Winter Turnip

Hey Sokka helped. He sat that lemur so hard, Momo won't be able to not sit for a week.

Collanaro Percalon

Also the door to the sword master's villa has a lotus imprinted behind the fire nation symbol.

Saw you were watching one of my fave shows jojo , subbed , then saw you were watching my all-time favorite show avatar , I had to get patreon for that

Definitely one of my favorite episodes

NekoSoophie!

Back Bender!!

HeavenlyNoomba

My favorite thing about this episode, is that in the beginning, the meteor was a symbol of Sokka's inability to do anything, and was a symbol of his insecurities. At the end, by forging it into his sword, he turns the meteor into a symbol of his strength, creativity, and versatility.

Thanks for the episode

Piendao be like "finally somebody without an ego the size of the earth kingdom"

Divi Forrester

Acting the fool is a real strategy for prisoners. There was an American POW in the Vietnam war known by the guards as "the incredibly stupid one" Because they deemed him nonthreatening, he was given free reign of the camp and tasked with cleaning up. He used this as a cover for sabotage and intel gathering.

Matthew MacSween

As a Sokka fan i truly liked the episode and damn Iroh trreaining to be Mister Universe ^^

Some interesting facts about Piandao: - His parents were both prodigy firebenders and disowned their son upon discovering he was not a firebender. - He went on to become a soldier in the army, developed his sword fighting technique, and never lost a battle. He grew tired of war and deserted in order to travel the world in search of enlightenment. - He eventually settled back into the fire nation and when he did an army of 100 men were sent to arrest him. He defeated them all and the army never bothered him again. - He also trained Zuko in dual-wielding broadswords.

Can't wait for the eps to come

2 things! Aang being geared up with all that armour in the shop was done because when designing Aang originally nickelodeon wanted Aang to have a much more extreme design, prolly like him in that armour. and The space rock Toph gets she turns it into the Nickelodeon splat logo!

Keem

I wondered how you'd react to Swole Iroh. I was not disappointed :P

James Gheen

"How much gunk does she have in her toes". This is... not a safe question to ask Toph I feel. Could be wrong, just a feeling. Dat Dragon of the West doe, amirite

GingerBardMan

Fun fact: meteorites don't typically make for good smithing material since they usually don't contain quartz making them very brittle and shatter easily

Trevor Appel

This is why I always classify Sokka as the leader of Team Avatar. Sure, Aang is the Avatar and tip of the spear, but Sokka's always the one who knows how to best utilize everyone's skillsets. You'll also notice that most of the time, the team normally goes to him whenever they have issues. Where he lacks in raw skill and talent, he more than makes up for with intelligence and creativity.

I didn't recognize the voice, listening to it again I can hear it. Last time I saw Robert Patrick was in Peacemaker where he plays the main character’s super racist father – great actor.

Bernhard

Alicia, the final line of dialog in the show...is a blind joke. :D:D:D ENJOY!

rrrebo

I was so happy for Sokka, and Piando is such a cool character

mykanike

Sokka's a chad he casually becomes an expert with the sword in what 2 days time? The boy is goated with the sauce

BornUnMotivated

They really knew how to incorporate stress and tension in a wholesome theme huh?

Mike Tai

The BACKBENDER Greatest of all bending!

Eli

I absolutely adore this episode, Sokka and his badass swordmaster.

Lazy Swordsman

Funny you should say that Piandao has a comforting voice. His VA is Robert Patrick, the T-1000 from Terminator 2!

rrrebo

Ahh you spoil us with amazing Avatar content, thank you for what you do :D

David G

They always manage to make the “Toph is blind” jokes funny, it’s great. Next episode is one of my favorites of the season
