It's such a cool visual technique for showing off his power at the same time as he's describing it. The way that the show makes sure to take time to build up all of the complex character emotional growth and development and then turns on a dime to throw into action at absolutely breakneck speed is just phenomenal and takes advantage of being able to hold that emotion directly as it dives in on all the world domination stuff.
