People did talk a lot about part 5 Golden wind, it was the one that started off the hype for the show in 2018 i think. that's where giorno's theme comes from and a lot of memes. i think it is a lot of people's favorite part. Also love Ant for being relatable af :D

Clearing up the misconceptions:
Yes the pots thing you sad was correct.
The arrow gave DIO his stand.
By "released The World" he means the bow is what gave DIO his stand.
DIO's stand is not out in the world, he is dead, his stand is gone.
Enya didn't "die later" Steely Dan murdered her ass in part 3.

btw the main characters of this show are usually always in the background in the faceless crowds (they will still be kind of faceless) but they are there. In fact during the scene when the hostage was being taken at the convivence store,3 major characters were actually in that crowd

Ant is exactly correct about what happened with the flower pots. Okuyasu erased the space between him and the pots, and the pots flew in to hit him. ALSO, the Arrow can grant a stand to someone, but it's never a set stand. The stand is always unique to the user. That bow doesn't contain The World, it contains the power of a stand, and whoever gets shot with it, should they survive, gets their own stand

You're misunderstanding what Jotaro ment by unleashed the world (this is already explained); Everyone has a stand power but not everyone can manifest it, the arrow brings it out in people so what he ment was when the arrow pierced DIO it gave DIO the ability to use his stand aka unleashed The World.
In short:
Some people have access to their Stand from Birth (like Avdol) but some people need the Arrow (which it'll be explained how later) to become able to access their Stand (Like Dio). In addition, explained in Part 3 anyone who gets a Stand Power will have all of their descendants forcibly manifest their Stand (which is why Holly got her Stand but because she had no intention of manifesting it when DIO died it went away, especially because she wasn't strong enough to manifest it).

if you can have a stand then it lies dormant in your soul, if your like anjelo and have fighting spirit the arrow will give you a stand if your like koichi and don't have fighting spirit then you will die unless someone saves you. DIO got shot by the arrow and it released the stand that was always in his soul laying dormant, jonathans body called out for help through the jostars weird family link and activated the stands of the other jostars.

I know multiple people already explained it, but I'll just try and cover everything real quick without any spoilers.
First thing, When Okuyasu (Billion guy) used The Hand to erase the space in between him and Josuke it caused the flower pots next to him to come flying off the wall.
The Hand is indeed very similar to Vanilla Ice's Cream in the sense that it can erase anything permanently. However, The Hand causes the space it erases to close in on itself, essentially filling the gap left behind. (Thus why the sign changed from "No Trespassing" to "No passing.")
Secondly, the arrow simply awakens the stand ability that lies dormant within a suitable user's soul. That means that it cannot give a specific stand like The World. If a user is deemed unworthy after being pierced by the arrow, they simply die.
The old lady was the current owner of the bow and arrow during part 3. It'll touch more on that later, so don't worry about that part too much.
It definitely takes some careful observation to fully understand everything that they say or do. From part 4 onward, the stands start to become increasingly complex and you probably won't understand how they work at first.
(Also last thing, Josuke's stand is called "Crazy Diamond," not "Shining Diamond." It is named after the song "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" by Pink Floyd.)
Glad you guys are enjoying JoJo's so much! <3

so basically the arrow activates the stand locked away in a persons soul and if they dont have a strong enough soul they will die while the survivors gain stands so the hag basically used the arrow on dio to give him the world which in turn activates the joestar's stands

It's also commented by this Nijimura Guy in the previous episode that DIO saw the potential talent of people and used the Arrow on them to awake their Stands.
So a big part (Not all), of the Stand Users fought in Part 3 were created by DIO or Ennyaba using the Arrow.

Not gunna lie, the subtitles are really hard to read for me personally, the Hulu version doesn’t make me strain my eyes to read.
Also in terms of One Piece, just remember it’s not about the end, the whole show is the journey. A lot of people rush through it to get to the “good part”, but it’s a slow burn with immense payoff if you take your time! Oh and the openings are ALL bangers, but they have a massive amount of spoilers, so be careful with that one. 😄🏴☠️👒

Koichi, 康一, does indeed sound a little like coochie.
The oku, 億, in Okuyasu, 億泰, means one hundred million.
Okuyasu's stand, the Hand, is named for The Band, a Canadian-American rock band that started in the sixties. for reference, "the band" in Japanese characters is written as ザバンド, and "the hand" is written as ザハンド. ハ is prounounced "ha" and if you put the two little dots on it like バ it's pronounced "ba". The little dots are called a dakuten and indicates that the consonant sound should be voiced; it turns k into g, it turns s into z and it turns h into b. So, long story short, The Hand is a reference and a pun.
The Hand removes anything it touches, including space, that's what it's doing to move Josuke closer, he's not actually moving, it's just that the space between them stops existing. It's a pretty wacky power and I don't know how reasonable of a power it is but it's pretty fun. The potted plants came flying at him because he removed the space between himself and the plants as he was messing with Josuke.
This ending is a vibe.

As for the bow and arrow conundrum: everyone has a stand, though only some people have the strength to use a stand. If you don't have the strength, the stand remains dormant. If you do have the strength, it will either come naturally to you, or you will go through some stimulating event to awaken your stand. All the arrow does is FORCEFULLY awaken a stand, hence why the arrow will kill some people and awaken the stands of others, because if you are too weak to use that stand you will die.
Dio's dormant stand (the world) was awakened by the arrow. The concern is that the arrow could be used to awaken the stands of others, and the likelihood of their stands being more dangerous than the world is too high to risk.

2023-02-16 13:34:06 +0000 UTC
I never really thought about that...
At the moment, I bet the biggest criteria for getting a stand is a natural inclination towards conflict, or even just the assertiveness to face challenges head-on. This is just based off what happened to Holly at the start of part 3 - so it wasn't just that she was simply too weak to resist Dio's curse, but also because she just wasn't a very conftontational person in general.
Evil individuals on the other hand would naturally take to conflict well, and would be all too eager to assert their wills over others.

All Jotaro is talking about is how the bow and arrow was used on Dio, “releasing The World”, and causing that domino effect on the rest of the Joestars to receive their stands. Now, somehow, this older brother has the bow and arrow.

The wording was a bit weird, so I'll summarise it, so you know how it works. Everything I'm saying has already been said in part 3, and these first three episodes of part 4.
Normally only people born with stands have them. But Dio got shot with the arrow by Enya (Old woman with two right hands), and that's how he got a stand. (By unleashed, Jotaro means the arrow is what created The World. And he is worried a stand has been made that is stronger than The World) Dio getting a stand gave all of Jonathan's living descendants a stand. That is Joseph, Jotaro, Holly and Josuke. When Jotaro first met Josuke, he said Josuke suffered with a fever for 50 days as a small child. That was during the same time Holly was sick with her stand. Since both Holly and Jouske were too weak at the time, their stands almost killed them. (Josuke was too young and Holly was too much of a pacifist) Someone took the arrow after Dio and Enya's death and has been making more stand users.

Honestly the subs were kinda confusing. What Jotaro meant is that the Arrow gave Dio The World (hence “unleashing” it).
While some of the dudes the gang fought in Part 3 were natural Stand users, some wre probably given Stands by being shot with the arrow.
Since it is completely random (GACHA IF YOU WILL) what Stand somebody gets, Jotaro is afraid the unchecked use of the arrow will create some OP motherfucker.

2023-02-16 12:32:11 +0000 UTC
also its implied that the more evil you are the more potential you have to awaken a powerful stand. Hence, Jotaro is afraid that if Morioh has a person as evil as or more evil than DIO, it could potentially create a stand stronger than the world which will be wielded by an evil person. Of course the are the exceptions such as Josuke and Jotaro, but that just means that evil people have something that naturally allows their stand potential to be greater unlike others which probably have a rare trait that does the same thing.

So the way the bow and arrow works is you shoot the arrow into a person, and they have a chance to get a stand. At the start of the episode, Angelo was shot with an arrow and we saw him get a stand. Anyones able to pick up the bow and arrow and use it to give someone a stand.
When Jotaro showed the picture with Enya, it lets us know that she originally had this bow and arrow. So that means she shot Dio with an arrow and that’s how he got his stand The World.
Also Jotaro said that the arrow must be destroyed because he wouldn’t want another villain to get a stand that’s more powerful then The World. The Worlds ability to time stop is insanely OP, and now we know that Dio got that through the arrow. So the arrow could potentially give someone an even more op ability then the world.

just to clear things up, enya found the bow and arrow, used it on dio to give him a stand then acted as his coach on how to use his stand since shes a stand user herself, then this blonde polnareff looking guy found the bow and arrow, the subtitles/translation on amazon are just weirdly worded, and yeah the ending song is "I want you" by Savage Garden, it always says the name of the song in the credits

Music references and Stand info Episode 4
Okuyasu’s The Hand, another of the non copyright Stands, gets its name from the Canadian rock group The Band.
The Hand’s ability is very similar, almost identical to Vanilla Ice’s Cream, in that it erases things from this universe by swiping it with its right hand. However unlike Cream, whatever The Hand erases, the surrounding area or object will combine to make up for the missing space, even if that space is just air, giving Okuyasu slight teleportation.
A dangerous Stand, balanced out by the fact that Okuyasu is canonically a goddamn idiot.

Millionaires ZA HANDO is an OP stand if you think about it. But he's a HIMBO so.. Also Enya, the witch, shot DIO with the arrow. That's what Jotaro means by "releasing the WORLD" and why the bow is dangerous. And yes, Josuke moved a bit to the side so that plants were behind him when Millionare used ZA HANDO. That's why the plants flew into his face. It got foreshadowed by the empty soda can flying towards him when he first used it.

So, at one point, Enya obtained the Stand arrow (the bow really doesn't matter it's just a normal bow). She used it on DIO which brought out The World. Jonathan's body sent a distress signal to the bodies of the Joestar family members (Joseph, Holy, Jotaro, Josuke (Jotaro mentionned he was really sick in episode 1)). After Jotaro killed DIO, Holy and Josuke's Stands came back to being dormant. Then, someone got their hands on the arrow. Not so long ago, Josuke became strong enough to weild Crazy Diamond by himself and so he awaken his Stand. Some informations here are missing because it is brought up later and I don't want to spoil you guys.

Okay to quickly explain: the potted plants that hit okuyasu were pulled to him when he cut the space between him and josuke. The reason Josuke calls him out as stupid is because if you look at the scene again, you can see Josuke purposely move infront of the pots, meaning he bet on the fact Okuyasu wouldn’t think about the fact that he could, and would hurt himself.

So about Ant feeling stupid: A very common, but relatively unknown symptom of depression is something called "Pseudodementia" and it does pretty much exactly what you would think. The nefarious thing about it is, that it basically has a delay. It takes a while to kick in after the depression is already in full swing _and_ it takes a while to subside after the depressive episode is over.
But it absolutely is a temporary thing! <3

also for the love of god do not do one piece, its honestly not...not that great because the pacing is god awful, (i watched 900+ episodes) if you ever get curious about one piece just go with the manga, the anime is hot garbage, it only gets somewhat good after a thousand episodes with the wano arc, do beastars instead of thats ok since u already watched the opening for that, or houseki no kuni, both are sweet and well paced

It actually took me an embarrassingly long time to realize the room behind Alicia’s model was just a background image and not her actual environment lol
