Another possibility is that he's always had soft and hard sides, it just that previously he was soft on the outside, with a vicious core, and at some point they switched.

But something that you may notice, Jotaro and Josuke have pretty much general power stands. Meaning it's a very simple power. Whereas other stands have had very niche abilities. So the fights are always a dance around their abilities.

2023-02-15 11:49:40 +0000 UTCTo be fair: Joseph was just lifeless for a few minutes in universe, like less than 3 and no serious damage was made to his body. He had also the resolve to come back, resolve seems to be an important part in someone's survival and we'll see that in the future, Jotaro also restarted Joseph's heart allowing his blood to flow. Josuke's grandpa on the other hand had his brain blended so he died instantly, Josuke only repaired his body but his soul is still gone and his heart still stopped and seeing how the grandpa was nice peaceful guy I think he would lack the resolve anyway. I don't think Araki ever gave a real reason but that seems to be the more popular theory among fans.

2023-02-15 10:29:30 +0000 UTCPart 4 censorship is weird, because its more lenient then previous parts, they allow blood and stuff, but they wont show the gore around the injury, if you look at the severed arm at the start, no gore around the cut but the blood is clearly dripping down, same with Angelo eating the dogs face, where his teeth sink in theres a small black blur but the blood is shown. I just wish it was all shown and not pussyfooted around.

I’m sorry for the continuous gaslighting I remember saying during part 3 ‘wow it’s a surprise joseph only ever had one kid’ BUT IN HIS DEFENCE, He had no clue josuke existed. But it did crack me up when you guys talked about Joseph being loyal to his wife, but like I said in my comment from episode 1, the author didn’t have much of a choice because he didn’t want to write too far into the future bc this was written in the 90’s so he had to figure out SOME way to have another jojo that wasn’t jotaros kid in the 2000’s bc my bro araki may be a genius when it comes to creating manga but he can not tell the future

2023-02-15 06:05:55 +0000 UTCThis part has such a jump in quality in terms of the fights and stands, they get so damn creative with them and I love it, also the fact that its a lot harder to find out how to beat an enemy stand, but they leave clues in the episode thats incredibly hard to notice until it gets explained later in the fight the example in this fight was josuke went into his bathroom and you can see 2 rubber gloves, when he leaves you see 1 rubber glove. It's such a small detail but it makes me love the part so much more!
