I wasn't paying attention in the 90s, so none of the references are memorable, but I think this part in particular really builds nostalgia for the time period whether you were in the time or not. Fun effect. That's one of the reasons why it's my favorite jojo part.

Violence gore uncensored, and 2. the names of stands unchanged from the original manga. Since almost every stand name going forward is a music reference, the uncensored version allows you recognize the reference. Most subtitled versions of JoJo change the names to avoid copyright issues. ie: Crazy Diamond being subtitled as Shining Diamond

Or like in part 3, the censored version covers any smoking with that black shading.
