2023-03-08 02:37:52 +0000 UTCLooking back on this episode there's a lot that shows how much the Fire Nation has diverged from it's roots with the sun warriors. In the Fire Nation dancing was basically forgotten and yet 100 years ago according to Aang dancing was super common. Then you add on the fact that one of the original techniques was called the Dancing Dragon. The hairstyle of the Sun Warriors also looks like Zuko's hair when he was banished. A style that appears super common/popular yet somehow took on the connotation of shame in the Fire Nation. Then there's obviously the disrespect of the dragons. The Sun Warriors treat them like the village elders who are wise and powerful. Where as Sozin treated them as a sign prestige or a prize to be won.
