How could someone piece together titan shifting if they never saw it or even heard of it? So unfortunately, no, it was Ymir saying she'd reveal her secret in front of everyone, and Christa would promise to take her original name back when Ymir revealed it, but she did not know the secret back then.

It’s amazing how after you really understand her character, most scenes of her being a bitch get recontextualized into just her putting up a front in order to help other people, even tho she doesn’t actually want to do that anymore (according to her this episode)

I dont exactly know where people got "yuh-meer" from, I guess it's just how much easier it rolls off the tongue. But both the show and real life history pronounces Ymir as "EE-Meer," so do with that information what you please

Also yeah this was the turning point for Ymirs character and when love for the character really started to grow. All I can say is brace yourself Queen, your in for a hell of a time with this lore XD
