Don't know if you'll see this cause it's a late comment, but the reason why Jotaro probably thought that Josuke's scream was the rain, was because he probably suffers from hearing loss due to shooting a gun at himself in the beginning of part 3

Jotaro thinking the scream was the rain was much more understandable in the manga; they changed a very obvious heavy downpour into a light drizzle in the anime

Josuke was right behind him tho, lmao. & As ya saw there, Josuke incorporated what he learned during Highway Star for this episode (Using Crazy D to essentially turn the ground/wall into a shield.) And now, something I mentioned during another previous episode had started up

Bites the dust its automatic and work in the eye of the target of BTD, like hayato, everytime he exposes directly or indirectly about kira, they kill the witnesses and reset time. Here hayato didn´t expose him, kira exposed himself, had to take down bite the dust to protect himself.
