I am right there with Ant: god damn I am fed up with so many shows having such shit subtitles. I remember buying the damn DVD of Young Justice (which is natively English!), and trying to watch it with someone hearing-impaired. The subtitles were wrong almost all the way throughout. But at least I guess subtitling is a good fallback career, since you apparently don't need to actually do it right.

the way subtitles for shows works is that its transcribed and coded into the video file, so there's no way to tell if something is wrong with them until you watch the video after. So the person in charge of the subtitles doesn't actually know how to fix it, or they're just too lazy to watch it through all the way and redo it. Either way they clearly don't care about getting the subtitles right.

IMO, the "censorship" is negligible. SOME scenes are slightly censored but honestly the better translations are worth it.
