why is that surprising? its the same thing germany did to the jews during the war with the armbands. and aot is heavily inspired by a germany setting from the names to the architecture.

2023-04-21 04:02:13 +0000 UTCAlso I just wanna add, i'm not always an advocate for skipping intros for animes just for that "watch it how it was when it came out" sorta deal, but the fact that they not only showed crucial points during the opening but also spent the time to animate it a different way, actually blows my mind. Also, also I just noticed the soundtrack playing during the after credit scene 😢

2023-04-13 16:22:16 +0000 UTCMy opinion on the intro is that it doesn't really give away the outcome of anything, like it shows that Reiner and Eren fight but it doesn't tell you how it's gonna turn out. It's doesn't show who wins or dies so it's not actually spoiling any plot points, just getting you hyped for the action.

Kinda figured it was just people who had already seen the series noticing the spoilers in hindsight, but yeah, that gives a lot away that even I'd notice, and I don't tend to pay much attention to intro's. Good job to those of you that convinced her to hold off on watching it.

2023-04-13 01:17:03 +0000 UTCI dont think alicia should have waited this long to watch the opening The creator has said that the anime is his "defenitive version" of the show, so he litterally meant for you to see the opening before, and even if you think its spoilery with for example the collasal titan, it could be that waiting for the collasal titan to appear is more frightning then not knowing anything, plus some animes use the opening to shift your expectstions like season 2 has a whole fight scene in the opening that didnt even happen
