just remember, her hope was that once the land was retaken they could raise more cattle and sheep, so more meat could be available. Sasha did live long enough to see that process start. Studio had nothing to do with that. It was one of his manga editors that didn't want sasha to die when he was drawing the chapter where sasha saves Kaya.

When season 2 was originally being animated Sasha was supposed to die at the end of episode 2 after saving Kaya. One of the editors was not okay with it and refused to finish editing until the writer changed the ending and let her remain. That was the old studio however and Sasha's death flags have finally come home to roost.

Unfortunately that happens a LOT with VAs and actors who act for disliked characters. Some people simply cannot separate fiction from reality and cannot control themselves (and the online anonymity makes them feel safe enough to be unhinged).

Gabi’s VA got a lot of death threats after this episode which is some bullshit because: 1) the VA has nothing to do with writing the character 2) she’s done such a great job voicing Gabi 3) the character is literally a child solider raised in a complicated setting that reacted exactly how most would in her position 4) it’s literally a fictional story
