Doppio fell into mud trying to protect the kid from the truck, and the mud splatter is what intrigued the fortune teller, and at that point we knew he was already tracking rissoto, that was literally happening earlier this day in the story

Jotaro decided it wasn't important to contact him and to leave him be (because y'know, Jotaro doesn't care if it isn't life threatening).
