2023-05-09 10:40:20 +0000 UTCYeah, the parallels between real life issues like racism are definitely apparent in the show but at the same time the carnivore/herbivore dynamic is also unique in some ways. When Legoshi said that Haru will be his he meant it more as in her being his prey. Still not much better but in the show they have animalistic reflexes that are biological and so it's much more understandable than irl dudes acting possessive.

They don't have the context the patience, or really the social option to just throw their hands up and say "fuck it."
