So some lore about the Ending song. The one who performed it is a group called Queen Bee, they are one of my favorite bands. But they have a really unique story, Every member is Non-binary/ refuses to disclose their gender and the lead singer Avu-chan is NB and half japanese half african/black. Alot of their music is about the difficulties of being LGBT+ and Mixed race in the conservative country of Japan. They are also deep in the entertainment industry so them being on this anime is very fitting.

WELLLLLL....... You say that, but if you actually look at how hard he had to jerry-rig that crap together... Yeeaaahhhh, no, that was pretty difficult. You're not going to get a gun easily in Japan, and if you do manage to DiY one then it's going to be a complete piece of crap that's going to fall apart pretty easily. Unlike in America where you can just get a free AR-15 with every Happy Meal, in Japan that crap was huge literally because it just never happens. It's just not really a thing people 'do'.

I think the other big thing is that Aqua is DETERMINED. He is in this for the long haul. He doesn't care if he has to wait 40 years, he WILL get there one way or another.

I'm just now realizing the transition between Ai and Aqua in the intro is a red glow stick from a fan at the concert. That's such a good little detail and it's so hard to notice until you actually stop and look at it.

Aqua is so reserved, but refers to Miyato family when speaking with the director. I hope she knows how much she means to him.

The one thing you need to keep in mind is the stars in the eyes of Ai, Aqua, and Ruby are symbolic; not literal. They're a visual cue that represents "deceptive eyes that have the ability to turn lies into truth". People in the Oshi no Ko/Kaguya-sama universe don't see literal stars in their eyes - but they do know that there is something special about their eyes.

it's not solely because of how popular Oshi no Ko has become; they tend to do that for a number of their songs anyway - and Idol tends to be a popular song in its own right.

There's something noteworthy I've seen rewatching that ending through all the reactions I've watched. The very last bit, with aqua in the dark room with projections? The clips playing barely have him there. a few flashes of the twins together, but mostly just Ai and Ruby for that 20-ish seconds. There's almost surely some symbolism for something in that.
