JoJo's Part Six Episode 17

Comments

Alicia last episode: "I didn't like these last two episodes cause it's was just angry people punching each other I miss the weird goofy complex stands" Alicia this episode: "Why are they talking so much I don't get it this is stupid just punch each other" Ummm what?

Davido

About the Minutes Part. One way to tell a direction is like this 273 degree 11 minutes and 45 secounds. Its a subdivision of 1 degree. 60 minutes are 1 degree ein 60 secounds are one minute. To misunderstand this kind of namingconfetion is normal.

The F U Gestures are ok, but there could be more ones. Especially because there where 2 very similar. Turn your lower Eyelid with you finger down (only one eye)+ additionally put your tongue out.

MoD+

Dragon's Dream is just the english translation for the manga, it really is just called Imagine Dragon in the Manga

Mcguffin

The water thing is because the body is being forced to be "alive" by FF so it doesn't rot.

Zandorum

I do. It's a good buildup for how convoluted things get from now on

Benedikt Spálovský

This is worse than King Crimson

Memento Forever

It's hard to understand but once you do it's not that complicated and it's only hard to understand because it's not explained that well. If anything it's just super convoluted and the fact that it's one of the only times in part 6 where there's A LOT of explaining like in older part doesn't help Basically, the compass version of the stand indicates "lucky spots" where Kenzou has to move to. Once an "unlucky spot" is found however, the stand takes form and Kenzou has to strike it in order for the attack to be directed toward the ennemy in a way that they normally can't evade the mortal attack.

Bastiwen

By a lot of people* not by everyone.

It's at least creative I guess(?) but yeah this fight wasn't very good in execution. The Feng Shui stuff was pretty interesting, and an interesting idea for a fight, but the way the fight explored this concept just felt like slapstick/final destination shenanigans trying desperately to be taken seriously.

Convergeman

I like that the dragon is neutral and gives away the secret to make it potentially fair if they can figure it out, like surely the way to beat the luck stand is team up and attack from different places but F.F. is the only one who can survive those hits is I guess the thinking

Verdigree

Awesome fact about the Dragon's Dream fight: It was even worse in the manga.

TheOne

Don't worry, no one gets Dragon's Dream, and those who say they get it are lying to you

Rick Baron

This whole arc is considered by everyone in the JoJo community to be the worst arc of JoJo's, too much exposition, too overcomplicated stand abilities and way too many talking faces, the arcs after it are straight fire tho'

Rick Baron

Anasui is basically Krillin in this ep

Spaghetti MADAO

Thanks for the episode

Lemon Rat

honestly the fight club arc was pretty lackluster we could've done without it

Hollowjac

And yet I'm still confused

Hollowjac

Yeah I get that not everyone wants a lot of explanation, but I don't mind. Especially since I find this kinda stuff interesting. Though I'd understand it might be boring for others.

Ethan Kuyoth

I was wondering if you could react to the Noragami openings because they are absolute fire

matt B

I didn't realize so many people didn't like it. Still a fun reaction so doesn't really matter.

Kawaii Edgelord

Out of this part in the prison. They are in like the solidary confinement area. I assume that's what they're getting at

no. 21’s no. 1 simp

Fun fact about this episode It took an entire manga chapter to Explain the dragons ability

christian garcia

I gotta say, this is my least favourite episode of the season by far. It's so damn stupid and long winded, no judgment to Alicia for getting bored as hell.

Daniel Braidek

But "part of the prison" literally means in the part where they are still in the prison and he mentions that it will get better after. Which kinda hints they are getting out. Or am I over analyzing his words?

Shnupper

I mean they did say part of the prison not the prison itself

Requiem

FF heard her last episode and said I GOTCHU

no. 21’s no. 1 simp

Isn't that spoiler, mentioning how they do get out of prison, or is it just me

Shnupper

Damn... I was expecting some Dragons dream hate comments but boy oh boy....

Benedikt Spálovský

I can't believe Alicia and her homies would betray FF like that

GeneralBass

Yeah, unfortunately the budget was low for Stone Ocean, but the 3rd batch looked pretty good. At least in general despite the lower quality in animation it still looks pretty solid, this fight certainly could be even better with the sharper animation. I liked this fight a lot because of the philosophical and historical context. It's certainly a bit confusing but everything in JoJo is, but in general the basic idea isn't too complicated.

Ethan Kuyoth

Oh I gotta catch up. References: Annasui (localized as Anastasia) is Anna Sui the designer. His stand, Diver Down is a Van Halen album. Kenzou is Kenzo, a brand by Kenzo Takada in Paris. Dragon's Dream is a song by Arkady Shilkloper. Probably one of the more obscure stand references. Edit to add: Guard/Viviano Westwood is Vivenne Westwood and his stand Planet Waves is a Bob Dylan album.

Jargo

yeah this arc kinda fuckin sucks lol, just stick through it until they get out of this part of the prison it gets better

Ace Skeletonne

I like them too. But wish the anime had more actual sakuga (key animation) moments for them. But I still think it makes up for them in a way, altho later

Yagi di Hoshi

Am I the only one that liked the "fight club arc"? By no means is it my favorite in Part 6 but I thought the fights and stands were quite unique.

Ethan Kuyoth

I feel like this fight club arc is the worst one of not only this part but the whole series. It feels like this was a place holder for the author to properly flesh out the ideas of how the final arc will go😭. The stands are basic but needless wordy to pad time till we can move to the next area

Golden Witch Beatrice

The dragon is basically final destination the stand

Angel Barrera

yeah this arc is kind of dog water, its all uphill from here though.

Jacob

He has the dragon in his hands to determine where the safest spot for him is, to which he moves to and has the most luckiest chance to not take damage. He releases the dragon after to find out where his opponents most unluckiest spot is, to which if any object touches it, it'll put the unluckiest case scenario into motion (Example: F.Fs arm going into the dragon, hitting the body to move to a specific location, the flies from the body flying up near the fan to which the bird eats but gets chopped into the fan)
