I love your attention to detail and endless theorizing on stuff. It casts a new light on the shows and makes me appreciate them in a different way than when I watch it alone. I don't really comment much but figured I might as well. Also lol the thing about Piemon looking skinny, all I could think of is the magic of sweat-suits, like mr. macho from "how heavy are your dumbells?"

2023-06-22 15:05:26 +0000 UTCthe story alternates focus between Ruby and Aqua for long stretches a lot bc, while theyre dual protagonists, they're each doing their own thing in different parts of the entertainment industry. Ruby trying to become an idol and Aqua going wherever his search for his dad takes him. It's a bit of a weird structure but I prefer it to the story being either all about Aqua or all about Ruby bc I love them both or jumping around too often between them bc i feel like that would mess up the pacing and tone.

Her perceptions of what it means to succeed and fail have become so warped over the years that she’s lost sight of who and what she is. Outside of filming that one scene with Aqua, it makes you wonder when was the last time she actually had fun working in the industry. And Ruby telling her “we’re rookie idols - of course we’re going to fail. Just go out and have fun” was such a revelation to her it completely flipped her viewpoint.
