Gundam: The Witch from Mercury Episode 23

Comments

I binged your reactions to G Witch a month back and I like them so much I have to subscribe to support! I love how real your reactions are and yet you have really good insights and on the spot analysis it feels like I'm discovering something new as I rewatch them. And I agree that the ED gets sadder every episode!!! The weaponized vocal cracks is so unfair it wrecks my heart every time...

Rayne

also, holy heck, shout out to Suletta's voice actor, she must've darn near passed out in the recording booth after all that hyperventilation

Spaghetti MADAO

omg, I didn't realize you uploaded this already; wasn't until I saw it was on youtube I had to pop on over. your reactions have been so wholesome and fun! I'm glad I made it time to see your reaction to the final handful of episodes.

This show has been amazing with character development, both Guel and Elan 5 were just so hateable when introduced, but both have grown so much. Also, Guel looks a lot like his father, look at his father in the flashback and compare it to Guel now. It's kind of rich for Eri saying she wouldn't kill people when she already has, how many people died in the league attacks on Quiet Zero? People have already died over this and yet she tells Sully that she wouldn't, with Quiet Zero's ability to control they could have easily captured and forced the enemy to surrender, there is nothing anyone in that attack could have done to stop them. Also, Elan was probably referencing back to Norea's death, since Elan had calmed her down at the school attack yet Kenanji's men still shot her down. It's also not surprising the League decided to double down, they didn't enter this conflict to stop Quiet Zero, they came to stop the Group as a whole. As soon as QZ was down it left the Group open to attack, as the Group's forces had focused on securing QZ, perfect time to attack them... politicians everyone.

22:10 I assume Elan 5 is talking about the last time Kenanji sortied and tons of kids and Norea got killed. Morbid joke, but Elan 5 is kinda like that.

Here's my crazy, off the wall, batshit insane conspiracy theory: Eri's Dad is the one who stopped her when she was gonna kill Miorine.

Small reminder: Petra is alive. But in a coma.

Sharles Davis Kendy

I dunno. We've seen a lot of talk about Eri living in the data storm and not necessarily in Aerial.

Sharles Davis Kendy

I love it when a space opera uses Lagrange points. Thanks for the reaction!

Spaghetti MADAO

Calling it now. Suletta is going to mind swap with Eri before the Aerial completely dies.

wakalord

Wonderful Reaction. Thank You For The Video.

Emanuel Moreno Ortiz

Thanks for the episode

I'm french and we have french subtitles for the lyrics of the openings and endings. That's a shame that you apparently don't have them. But I think the lyrics represent really well Sullybear character, with mentions that are like " obey someone blindly" or "the difficulty of finding oneself"

Sylumgar

Thanks for the episode

I've been preparing funeral arrangements for a Jeturk to die since I saw Lauda eying the Schwarzette. I am so glad they both survived. I think everything is pointing towards Suletta leading the crusade against the league in the final episode (or next season). I mentioned it before, but Calibarn is named after Caliban, the slave of Prospero, from The Tempest, and may also be named after the sword Caliburn, which was the sword in the stone that anointed king Arthur. If it draws inspiration from both, Suletta piloting it could mean, 'a former servant, now leading the people'. And now that we see Eri potentially gone and a few gund bits still whole, the ending could be hinting at the events of the finale. An interpretation of the ending, coupled with the potential meaning of Calibarn above, could be 'Suletta, with the gund bits, will lead everyone to a better world where her and Miorine could properly be together'. Anyway, that's just my theory. Wrong or right, I know Gundam will deliver an amazing season, or series, finale.

MG

I think with this episode we've got a full house in Gundam bingo with a weapon of mass destruction and a bigger fish to fry

Pablonius

A FUCKING COLONY LASER WHAT I wonder if they made the Assembly League guy look kinda like Ronald Reagan/Bill Clinton on purpose, given they're trying to do to Lagrange 4 what the US and Halliburton did to Iraq... Also the tiny detail of M's hands shaking when she clasps fingers with Sully at the finish of the end credits? Chef-kiss.

Geth Who

You're not crazy xD. They added small changes throughout the opening.
