about the poison, alicia, this is anime logic. If a character claims anything, literaly anything at all and nobody contradicts them, then it's 100% true, until someone says otherwise. In reality poisons have a large variety of effects, and each one is different from the other. Although i'm quite certain that an antidote for food poisoning, that affects the digestive system would do jack shit to help against an airborne poison that affects the lungs. He's bleeding from the mouth, is blue all over, has trouble breathing. It looks like cyanide. In reality there's a precise antidote for it, but you'd have to have taken a low enough dose to stay alive long enough for it to be brought to you. The lethal amount of cyanide needed to kill is very low. 1.5mg per kg.

I guess they double as inhalers of sorts.

About the mask, it sounded to me like in addition to filtering the poison it also adds a detox/antidote like thing to the air it filters. It would make sense if you think of the masks as not completely hermetically sealed, you would want something to counter any small bits of poison that gets past it. This is all 100% speculation on my part thou.

Ten hut soldiers! It's time for GENERAL TRIVIA! That's right, an episode of STRAW wHAT TRIVIA all about general one piece facts. Stuff that's not specific to any episode per say. Just stuff. Fun, useless stuff. TRIVIA GO! Episode 28 One piece has been around for a good while now. Like a real good while. The manga premiered in Weekly Shonen Jump on July 19th, 1997! At the time Oda was only 22 years old. As is standard for any new series premiere in Shonen Jump, the first chapter, titled "Romance Dawn- The Dawn of Adventure" contains many more pages than the weekly average. As of 2023 it remains the single longest chapter of the series. At the age of 19, Oda began working as an assistant on Rurouni Kenshin. During this time, Oda drew two pirate-themed one-shot stories called "Romance Dawn", which were published in Akamaru Jump and Weekly Shōnen Jump respectively in late 1996 "Romance Dawn" featured Monkey D. Luffy as the protagonist, who then became the protagonist of One Piece. So Basically Oda did a couple trial runs of the first chapter of One Piece as One Shots in the Manga world before the series even started for real. This is why the first chapter I just talked about is sometimes called "Romance Dawn, Version 3" because of the Romance Dawn one-shots. Yeah, they were all called that. I guess Oda really liked the name "Romance Dawn". It is pretty good, but not as good as my idea of "Punchy Boing Boing!" Huh, that's terrible? Who asked you!? Moving on! Episode 29 The anime series premiered on Fuji TV on October 20, 1999. It's over 1000 episodes long! Also there are 15 Movies (some of which are of questionably canonicity). There is also an upcoming live-action adaptation by Netflix set to premier on August 31st, 2023. It's been 25 years since the manga officially debuted in Shonen Jump?! That's dedication! Well soldiers! This has been GENERAL TRIVIA! Now drop and give me 20! Wait, what are you doing? Push-ups? I meant give me 20 dollars!!!

Everyone's asking about filler, I'm more curious if we'll be seeing movies here.

OscarGrump

Okay, well we know you'll be watching the filler. Will you be watching the movies?

KingofYokai

Anyone who's complaining about your release schedule should be shot eith a ball of their own poop as my pop would say. You're recording so many different series and fighting cancer at the same time. You deserve all our patience and respect ♥

One Piece has the filler in the regular episodes though. The anime is way, way slower than the manga. Naruto anime is way better in this regard honestly. I'd take skipable filler episodes any day over 5 minutes straight of reaction shots. If I ever go back to the One Piece anime it will be with One Pace for this reason.

I just love how craig keeps calling himself the strongest man in the world, while he's fully clad in armor with an entire arsenal of explosive weapons at his disposal, while he's fighting an unarmed kid wearing flip flops and a tank top.

Machine River

i work with masks and no that's not how they work. maybe something like a nebulizer would but the masks filter out any toxins flowing through it. they don't create air with poison healing effects. they just keep poison out.

ryu kage

You're fighting cancer?? Damn.

dont stop pausing and breaking what you feel or think down its very cool :) tho i will admit, when episodes pause to do flashbacks of recent episodes it does tend to get a bit to much? maybe theres a balance there somewhere. Like we didnt need a flashback on hawkeye here god damn anime fillering stuff

m dunt

i think there are only a few anime where you really should skip the filler. one piece is fine, an episode here and there will be filler with a few filler arcs of like 3-7 episodes. its not like Naruto where 40% of the entire series is filler. even with Naruto though I think you should treat filler like side missions in a video game, when you want to get back to the main story then skip ahead past the filler.
