I love Froppy's adventure. Her growth as a hero and character is so good. I feel for Best Jeanist and Bakugou. I initially struggled to train new hires because I didn't know how to not be blunt. Have had people quit when I tried telling them what they needed to do without giving levity or using positive reinforcement. That meme of 'If you could not <...>, yeah, that'd be great' is genuinely agitating when you hear it in person. Having no leadership skills hurts and they're always worth learning. Now I see middle management who go out of their way to make decisions out of cold-blooded business and smh. You read about that everywhere and it sucks.

those bird guys are octopods. octopods have beaks :)

I love Selkie, hot anthro seal man. I wish he wasn't mostly filler :<

"there are several of Deku's classmates that are very suitable as support roles in a team of heroes working together, but since their quirks are not directly combat focused they should not have been able to pass the entrance exam." Not really, there are really only two members of Class A where you have to get creative at all to see how they passed. Remember that immobilization also counted for points, as did Rescue points. The ones who wouldn't be able to outright destroy a robot likely had means to immobilize or disable them or to protect others.. Aoyama, Ashido, Asui, Tenya, Ochako, Ojiro, Kaminari, Kirishima, Sato, Shoji, Jiro, Tokoyami, Bakugo: Have means to stop the bots physically and protect others Sero, Mineta: Render bots immobile with their powers Hagakure and Koda are the only question marks. Most likely option is that the bots had a means to turn them off or an important mechanism that would be easy to break in a mostly inaccessible place like their undercarriage, in which case small animals and invisibility to get past their senses clear easily.

Yeah, there are actually a lot of people like that in this series when you really look. Stain was doing a pretty good job against Todoroki without using his quirk against him.

"Why can't I be that cute?" she says like she isn't lol also FROPPY EP!!! ^^

Heartless

Essentially all we got in the manga for this little adventure with Froppy was a one liner later on. So when this got animated it was REALLY awesome for both manga readers and anime only peeps.

LOL I WAS SO CONFUSED! Cause I saw the tentacles and just sat there like o.o

That's the kind of inconsistensies the writers run into with such a vast and diverse set of characters. For example there are several of Deku's classmates that are very suitable as support roles in a team of heroes working together, but since their quirks are not directly combat focused they should not have been able to pass the entrance exam.

Thanks for the episode

TrinitytheApostle

Froppy is such a cool character and the naime makes it even better by letting her be vioced by Aoi Yuuki

Anime original filler characters always break the story for someone lol

She gets captured and used as a hostage pretty much the instant she goes up against someone with an actual combat-enhancing quirk; I can't imagine that she's a very well-known hero to the general populace. She's a perfect fit as a sidekick for Selkie, and for a role in the Navy. She's not really "singlehandedly beat the bad guys" kind of hero that Deku grew up idolizing.

Now I'm kinda worried why they didn't show Deku after that serious information.

Tomika Axerail

Around 6:00 minutes you talked about what I have been called in the past. My older brother called it my 'accidental asshole' moments. ^^; It can be fixed, but you REALLY gotta want it.

One of the small annoyances I have with this story (and it's really small and niggly) is that DEKU HAD A HERO he could have taken notes from. Sirius has nothing but better than average hearing. She is, for all intents and purposes, Quirkless. She had to build her abilities up from ground 0 in order to become the hero she is now, and idk, I feel like Deku could have taken her as an inspiration to do the same. She's literally base human but with good hearing. That's... incredible that she got as far as she did when you see how much the society they live in caters to those with flashy, cool Quirks (see Shinso vs the entrance exam as a prime example). IDK, I love that she could have been an inspiration for any kids who had very weak or non-existent Quirks (and she isn't the only one we'll meet). She's such a great character for showing that Quirks aren't the be-all, end-all of being a hero. (BTW, the fins on her head are communication devices, not part of her body.) Also, kudos to Selkie for taking on a kid with good hearing as her only Quirk ability and picking her as his sidekick. Like, yes, she worked hard to get to where she is, but he picked her out of all those he could have chosen. He saw beyond her limited Quirk and decided she'd make the cut on his ship. They're so great! <3

Tsu: "I realized that what's really important for a hero...is overwhelming violence."

Liesmith

Fun fact: The villain name "Innsmouth" is a reference to the HP Lovecraft cthulhu-mythos story "The Shadow over Innsmouth".

Gunhead got me fucked up fr <3

This episode was something the author originally wanted to do in the manga but didn't have time for, but Froppy became pretty popular so they added it to the anime.
