Straw Hat Episode 66+67

YOOO WE THROWING HANDS

Straw Hat Episode 66+67

Comments

a lot of people don't like this fight cause we just got done where luffy would not listen to anyone about Nami even nami believing in her. but then turns around and attacks zoro on one guys word.

Sean Van-Matre

"Snot Rocket" A Snocket if you will

Sammy

Gomu Gomu, Bara Bara, Sube Sube, Plume Plume, and whatever Dragon's fruit is; there's also Apis' and Erik's fruits, but they're non-canon. Technically, the Yomi Yomi user should have been seen in a flashback, but details like that are lost to the early anime, and we wouldn't have even seen him use it, even if he had been present. So five canon fruits, the would-be appearance of a sixth user, and two non-canon fruits.

Moku

i mean it makes sense that people don't think Luffy can beat a lot of his opponents early in the story. He is just a rookie pirate out of the East Blue that almost no one has heard of and for him to beat one of the 7 Warlords would sound impossible considering how infamous they are. That is literally like saying Zoro after Arlong Park would be strong enough to win round 2 with Mihawk

Joseph C Gdaniec

My mistake. At least I said 'supposedly'

Ruby Kelly

Nah, Naruto vs Sasuke happened in 2003, and Whisky Peak was in 1999.

Hpmanen

That is not an unfair reaction to Miss All-Sunday

Seraphem

You know if you’re a fan of Robin’s voice she has a couple of character songs. Her singing voice is amazing

Circuitdoodles

I love the dub clip of the Zoro Luffy fight because Zoro’s voice actor sounds like Luffy actually broke into the recording booth to kill him.

Circuitdoodles

That dude is just a Kirkland brand Bakugo.

Liesmith

Well Luffy doesn't beat everyone he meets the first time like Smoker for example.

Zynarch

59:16 A TF2 REFERENCE!!! LET'S GOOOOO!!!

Osbaldo Delgado

these are the 4th and 5th devil fruits we've seen in the series

Martin Mcfly

Fun fact that's just a single throwaway image in the manga but Miss Monday and Mr. Nine get together later on and have a baby together.

KingofYokai

that sucks but she's literally nauseous 100% of the time so she eats when she can, and that usually means she eats when she records. I'm sorry about your misophonia

Harper

Ok, but have you seen/read the interview itself or just read/watch someone that said that and you are repeating it? Because, usually if it's the latter is highly probable that it's a myth. I never saw any mention of that and can't find it either. I have only found comments on Reddit that say it FEELS that it was forced, one of them even mentions a video that repeats that, but it's an analysis, not a fact. https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePiece/comments/n4rroz/am_i_the_only_one_who_didnt_like_luffy_vs_zoro_in/gwx9wck/

leviathan_13

Supposedly, Oda didn't want to have Luffy and Zoro fight, but the publishers made him. I think we shortly after Naruto vs Sasuke happened

Ruby Kelly

I have just a slightly little critik. Please do not eat while reacting. at least do it so we not hear it. So many people do have Misophonia. I do have it to and my mood is getting pretty bad just from chewing noises. Great reaction and all. But the eating sounds are to much. I endet the vid half way :(

MoD+

Oda said in an interview that his publisher wanted to see a fight against luffy and zorro to try to raise views. Dont ask me which one it was mostly a clip I saw and it was old.

Alex Lavigne

Source?

leviathan_13

If Zoro saw Luffy doing something he considered dishonorable, he would walk out from the crew. This is not even hypothetical, he stated in W7 that if Luffy did "something", he would've left the crew next. Nami also felt betrayed at someone in WCI before understanding the situation. That to say, people have breaking points. And again, I also agree that it was a poor joke, but I don't think it was that outrageous. That's the point I'm trying to make. In fact, I don't like the idea of "blind trust" either tbh. It's more realistic that if you do fucked up shit, people are going to react to it. Anyway, in the end, this matter is subjective. So you are free to think like that, I just wanted to present another perspective.

leviathan_13

Keep in mind with the Warlords, after they were given government clearance their bounties are frozen. 80 mill was Crocodile's bounty when he was first made a Warlord.

MaskedRider

BEST GIRL APPEARS 😍

KATACOREY

Fun Fact: For whatever reason, the Seven Warlords have animal theming in their names and some aspect of their appearance. Dracule MiHAWK and CROCODILE are first but some will be more obvious.

mad-charles

Yeah I'd put Croc around 150-200 million for his strength relative to the other villians. But for what he actually does in Alabasta politically, I'd give him 500 million.

echoent

no trust is still central to this, if the roles were reversed and Zoro woke up and found out that Luffy had beaten up a bunch of people his first response would be "oh these guys must be bad guys, Luffy wouldn't just attack innocents like this" his response wouldn't be "OMG LUFFY IS EVIL! I CAN'T BELIEVE HE HURT THESE INNOCENT ANGELS, I MUST NOW KILL HIM!". Zoro trusts Luffy yet Luffy doesn't give Zoro the same trust

H.P Fuckcraft

Nobody said to luffy to kill zoro. They only stated the truth that zoro did that to them, and zoro confirmed it himself. It's Luffy that made his own (wrong) conclusions, based on what he saw. There is no trust involved. And again, "sogeking" would have been left behind, no matter how strong the power of friendship was. Trust was never an issue there either, it's just that if you cross the line, you cross the line.

leviathan_13

A lariat is when you run towards the opponent and hit them with your arm but a clothesline is when they run into your arm or you pull them into it.

Carter Skjerven

That's why Ussop asks him if he realizes what he is doing and he answers that he has no idea. Then when he falls down he looks at Robin, realizes she's a woman and starts simping. Nothing out of character here, just visible confusion in a confuse situation. Remember, he just woke up after being dragged through the ground and beaten by Nami.

LUÍS FERNANDO GOIS LOBÃO

Depends on where you learned it from since in wrestling it's called a clothesline

Trevor Appel

Devil fruits are very common in the Grandview, its rare to see them in the 4 blues. Not Impossible but rare.

NandoTNT

yeah it happen a lot even in mha x)) that why i think a english dub should suit her more i think idk if it's the treatment or her personality i know some friends who can't watch japanese version because they easily lose focus and take too much energy at looking the animation and thinking and speaking all at the same time and they sacrifice a lot of time the sub ^^

Wolfange

I now have the confirmation that you already watched Akame Ga Kill, which means people can stop recommending it on discord!

Kaz

Alicia fawning over animation whilst critical information being shared

JibJibs

It was a lariat but I understand the confusion.

Carter Skjerven

It was actually a lariat, a clothesline is down from a standing position. I understand the confusion though.

Carter Skjerven

Nah...you're the princcess of simps,, but hey, they are nice simps

Blackhook

Just a heads up over crocodiles bounty. It WAS 80 million berri bounty when he became a warlord, thus making it likely that if he was not a warlord it could be way higher now

Slyghostchips

Mr. 5 also known as Bakugo from MHA

nick

Just gave me the image of a Maxor reaction: "What the *fuck* is a crocodile?!"

Liesmith

Nah, he clearly points the gun at usopp

Seith

btw i love how the anime have to tall 3 times the same thing to alicia finally read it XDD

Wolfange

Clothesline

Dajkenoth

except the "moustache man" disowned his "son" after the "son" killed another "son" not because some random stranger came to him and said "your son is a bad guy, kill him will you?"

H.P Fuckcraft

And thus the hierarchy on the ship is established: Nami > everyone else > Luffy XD. I like how we met the Baroque Works and think "these guys are clowns" then come Miss All Sundays and says "let me quickly fix the mood here" :D.

leviathan_13

Unlike with Nami, who "allegedly" killed Usop and Luffy rightfully didn't believe that, here Luffy sees the corpses lying around and Zoro even admitted. Yes, I agree that's a bit out of character for just a joke, but I also think that you have to draw a line somewhere. I actually like that if you do something too crazy, you are out. No power of friendship will save you. And it's not like we won't see stuff like this happening in the series, e.g. with a certain mustached pirate who considers everyone on his ship his "son". And... SPOILERS : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : when someone left his crew later, the crew was ready to leave him behind if he didn't apologize, no matter how much they missed him or how good friends they were.

leviathan_13

Noice

Amanullah Amin

Prolly missed but was discussed earlier in the story that "once you get to the grand line, Luffy will not be that special" meaning, in the grand line, there is a lot more devil fruit users.

David

since they won't appear in the anime again might as well say the burger king crown guy and the big buff black girl actually start dating and then have a baby together, it's shown on one of the manga covers later on but never shown in the anime

H.P Fuckcraft

It’s canon, I just checked my manga volume!

Luffyiscool

makes sense, it's so out of character and nothing like it is ever done again

H.P Fuckcraft

We're in the grand line now so yeah Devil fruits are everywhere

Fenronin (Dorian Dubourg)

Bro I’m just luffy fr fr

aliciaxlife

must be anime only

eneslobby

I mean he didn't lie it's zoro who did this XD

Fenronin (Dorian Dubourg)

i hate these episodes so much because of how Luffy acts, the fact that he believes some random stranger above his own crewmember, that he thinks his oldest crewmember his right hand is some psycho murderer that massacres an entire innocent town, he didn't believe Johnny when he saw with his own eyes Nami killing Usopp but here he believes a stranger above Zoro. he's even trying to kill Zoro. the only explanation for this is he was just drunk off his ass because he never acts like this again and it's never acknowledged.

H.P Fuckcraft

I never knew that! =D

Shrapnel

Ranginald Vagel

A Warlord’s bounty isn’t representative of their power. It’s just their bounty from a long time ago. After a pirate becomes a warlord their bounty stops accumulating no matter what they do. Also, there are only 7 Warlords in total, never more. And you need to be among the strongest pirates to be chosen for it when a spot is available.

Sancturillore -- Élie Simard-Wallot

Vivi's personality is drastically different because she was acting before. She was infiltrating Baroque Work after all.

Sancturillore -- Élie Simard-Wallot

Bro did my man Sanji just pull out a fucking gun and aimed it at a woman. Can anybody tell me if that is canon?

Amanullah Amin

Clotheslined, he clotheslined that mutha

Mieguy

Miss All Sunday rocking that cowboy hat! But get your hands off Luffy’s hat you already got your own!

Alex

The fight between luffy and Zoro was forced on Oda by the way he did not want this to happen at all.

Alex Lavigne

alicia not reactin for the first 3 times they said crocodile is a warlord and then losing her shit at the fourth time it's kinda funny ngl

MadMax 1513

funfact, miss wednesday was originally not meant to be vivi. it just so happened that oda had plans for what to come next and, during one sketch session, oda just so happened to draw miss wednesday with her hair down, which he thought looked very princess-y, so he figured why not kill two birds with one stone and connect the two stories by making her a princess of the upcoming island. in addition, the shichibukai (seven warlords) weren't planned either. they were simply thrown in because oda came up with the desing at some point and thought they were too cool not to include. according to oda's own estimate, this decision increased the run time of the series by about 15 year. this is actually something oda does a lot of times. he's very good at improvising and just adding things or making connections that weren't originally planned to be there but somehow still seamlessly fit together.

JHow

The wrestling move that Mr.5 did is called a Lariat.

Carter Skjerven

Thanks for the episode
