One bullet and he's ready to move on and get his money. All of her self-realizations, her finding her will to live defying her fate as a born sacrifice for the greater good, becoming her own person, and it's all ended with a single trigger pull. I knew it was coming and it still hurt.

It hits on one of if not the core themes of the show. Sacrificing the young for the status quo and for geriatric assholes. I mean look at the situation at the end of the episode. Riko wasn't killed by curses (something natural but cruel), it was a bunch of greedy dickheads and someone callous adult with a gun. Some grown man who didn't even know her, stole her future. Anyway what I'm trying to say is, you're right, Jujutsu society is bullshit

Also sadly Alicia the assimilation is more akin to having her body stolen which is why it was so 'final' and why Geto tried to let her choose
