Special Thank You

Hey Patreon Beans,

With August approaching means my next surgery for my cancer treatment is too. Fingers crossed we get good news! A few things I wanted to address because I know there are a lot of new people to my community and a lot of changes :3 so here we go!

1) I’m a cancer patient who sleeps for WAAAAAY too many hours a day. It’s hard for me to stay awake so usually I have a small 3-4 hour window after waking up where I get to function before I get exhausted again. So I spend the whole time recording.

2) It’s actually what inspired me to start streaming on twitch. I was feeling insanely lonely and getting more depressed about my health and life. I started getting so tired I was reading comments less and it made me feel even more alone. Until I thought about recording live and honestly I’ve just been happier these past 4 days.

2.5) MAIN THING TO ADDRESS: as Patreon members you get early access to all my series! Streaming my reactions on Twitch means people can tune in as it’s happening or miss it completely. Reason being is I don’t keep the vods up. The only way to see the vods and get early access is by being one of you a Patreon homie! Your special privileges are still here!!

3) My health sucks. As we read before but since I’m so happy and a vtuber it’s really hard to understand the severity of what I’m going through. I’m someone who can’t walk unassisted and can’t even go up the stairs alone to fill up my water bottle which is why my mom is always helping me. I can’t even shower by myself. I really need you to understand that I am always and will always try my absolute best for you all. If my best isn’t good enough I’m sorry for that because it is your money you’re spending. Just know I’m trying to be happy and myself while going through something and that I care about giving you guys content.

Thank you for supporting me but also thank you for making battling cancer less lonely. I hope you feel happiness towards me going on twitch as well realizing that I’ve gotten more content out than usual and I’m happier too.

for someone going through what you are to remain so positive and still make others laugh and smile daily is amazing. you also bust your ass for someone with cancer don't ever feel like you are not doing enough.

Justin miner

You're a treasure. Wishing you the best

not here

You’ll blast through this surgery better than ever! You got this!

Daisy Azuras

do what you need to do for you. we want you to feel the best you can, If that meens resting then rest, If that meens hanging out with friend and fans on twitch then do that. Take care of yourself.

Cameron Hogan

If you miss the twitch, you can ONLY get to see the full reaction on patreon, uncut, unchanged, unfiltered. That's worth it, imo. Also, we and her discord are the only places she alerts of going live so it's really just another patreon bonus, since she doesn't have a set schedule for streaming. You'd have to either check here or her discord to even know when she streams.

Liberty

You're doing great Alicia! Thanks for always giving it your all! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that you get some good news in August 🤞

GildedGrimoire

we only wish you the best!

Delton

Honestly you are doing amazing, it's really inspiring what you're able to do when dealing with such a shitty disease. Hoping for you everything gets better and better asap!

I am also facing health issues and you have been an absolute inspiration! Watching your content has helped me very much and I wish you all the best with your health!

Valentine

You do so much for us and I wish nothing more than for you to win this battle that you're going through! You have such an amazing personality and I o my wish I found out about you sooner!

Gabe Plays Music

I like the Twitch stuff makes it so we can interact. Thanks for doing it.

thefallingduck

You do plenty and are just amazing!

Seraphem

Thank you for sharing your wonderful self us and spending time sharing your thoughts and opinions. If the support I and others gives is what you need im glad i can contribute.

Nedaula

I dont mind the Twitch stuff. I watch the vods after i wake up and eat breakfast. I couldn't catch the streams anyway ( timezones). Get some sleep and good luck on your procedure.

Kenneth McGill

My mom is recovering from her Stage 4 lung cancer at the moment and it was super rough for her. Take care of yourself however you need to. Shit's rough enough without trying to do anything on top of it. While my job keeps me from catching most twitch stuff, I'll be here and on YT catching the VoDs. Good luck on your surgery!

Jeff

You're an absolute legend in my eyes. Your personality is so kick ass and you sound so lively in your reactions, I don't think I ever would have guessed that you were sick. I've known for a while because you've mentioned it of course but what I'm trying to say is you fucking got this 💪 Your energy is too strong. You will overcome 💪💪💪 I'll be sending energy your way DBZ style anyway 🙌

SomeoneElse

For what it matters, other content creators do the same, plus if you are not a Patreon, you don't get to see the reactions in order since the YouTube videos might very well not be caught up. I don't think it's likely that you can catch every single twitch stream exactly when it will happen without missing any.

leviathan_13

Best of luck with the next surgery! couldn't imagine going through what you are going through and still finding energy to record these super fun reactions, we appreciate it to say the least

cyberspacecat

Depending on your timezone, you don't get to catch it live, so the patreon thing is still the best way to catch it early. You also get to rewatch the episodes you like the most uncensored, while youtube has to go for the censored version,a nd later than us. Btw, this comment screams of "I didn't read the post" energy.

Kaz

Honestly I have so much respect for you. Going through all that and working on the side as hard as you do. Cancer must be shitting its pants. 😂 I'm sure the surgeries and the treatment will go well. Regarding Twitch, that's for sure the right way to do. You also don't have to do it alone then with a live audience in that sense. Personally speaking I don't mind that the Vods are then here on Patreon. With the time difference I could hardly catch a stream either way 😅

Tokken Release

I see it more as someone who catches a TV show as it airs for those on twitch, while the patreon members are those who own the box set with all the bonus little features. We get commentary and a more personal experience at our discretion. While twitch will have to sit and wait until the next "episode" is on Tv again.

Tyler Denny

don't you feel it's unfair that we pay 5+ dollars a month to get the early uncensored content yet Twitch viewers get that for free and earlier then we do?

H.P Fuckcraft

*proceeds to send good good vibes*

AonixGhostlyQ

I made a Twitter to give you a follower when I saw that. You're such an inspiring person and I just had to let you know :)

Rick Sturgis

You deserve things going well for you.

Blackhook

I'm here because you're fun, funny and just great at entertaining. I'll admit, I don't usually watch the lead-ins and chat-only sections of reaction vids and streams, but I find yours engaging enough that I watch all the way through. Just keep being the awesome person you are and take what time you need if you're feeling sick or tired or whatever. I, for one, am happy to wait and I'm enjoying all the content you put out (even if I'm currently only watching a few of your series reactions, I figure I'll get around to the others I'm less interested in eventually. Just.... not that much time in the day to watch EVERYTHING, ya know?)

Liberty

I am not what to say reading about your health be kinda sad and I suck and words, but i will say that I hope you can keep smiling a true happy smile, and so I will keep praying and hoping for you well being, cause your awesome

AonixGhostlyQ

Just wanna drop by in this comment section real quick to tell you that you’re amazing and awesome and cool AF.

Sander

I’m praying for you Alicia. Beat this and if you need some time off take it. Your an amazing person.

Andrew vogel

You don't just how much of an inspiration you've become on some people, being able to entertain thousands of people amidst the time you spend for yourself and your career due to your condition, it's insane.

Requiem

Sending positive vibes your way. Its awesome seeing the community grow & I know a vast majority support you however they can and are able. It's also good to hear that the twitch streaming has helped you feel more positive as well.

JaySpotTx

Thank you for your hard work, and I hope its not too hard on you, you deserve to not feel lonely and taking a few days off in a week to hang with your homies wouldn't bother me as someone whos paying, cant speak for others but ye

VJ Sins

You're the best, dawgette. Still manage to be my favorite reaction channel while beating that cancer out of your body. I've no doubt you'll pull through this healthier than ever. Stay strong!

TheOne

Luffy should be your role model: if you get sleepy, you just sleep where you are! XD Anyway, rest well and I wish you good luck with your surgery.

leviathan_13

YEAHHH! 😤 gotta beat cancer the hell up!

aliciaxlife

Hey I'm one of those new people! I found you a few days ago and you're amazing, love your personality and seriously could not have guessed you were going through such a hard time until I heard you mention it in a video. I hope the surgery goes well! Until then please don't overwork yourself and do things you enjoy <3

Dw_Nova_Wolf

:D hoping for good news! And yeah!

aliciaxlife

Oh shit imma copy and paste this into a doc when I get up so I can read it more properly then.

💖

aliciaxlife

Dealing with shit isn’t so bad when I have such an amazing support system like this community. Thanks for being here

aliciaxlife

Always do what is best for you, I and probably a lot of us made the decision to support you on patreon because i thought it was worth it and it has been and it will be even if you take more breaks. You don't need to feel bad for making less content. Stay strong alicia <3

Potato

I hope good news coming for you, let's beat the crap of this cancer

Wolfange

Love to hear that you found another outlet that can make days more joyful and less isolating, hopefully better health days are around the corner, rooting for you!

Slurp

I think I'll answer here to your reply on my other comment since it seems more appropriate: I'm not sure if we are understanding each other, because you said in the other comment that you will try to do MORE work when you will be healthier, while I'm suggesting you to do effectively LESS work. Maybe I did not explain myself correctly, but you wouldn't do any more reactions than you are already doing. Just by splitting the One Piece double reactions into single reactions for YouTube, you are effectively doubling the number of videos you can post with the same amount of effort. Let me make a practical example: let's say that you do a reaction for One Piece 66 + 67 and post them on Patreon. Normally you would then post the same reaction on YouTube a few days later, but that way you just have the same video on both platforms with just a short delay. Instead, if you split the video in two, you would still post ep. 66 + 67 on Patreon, but only post ep. 66 on YouTube. WHENEVER you will be able to do the reaction for ep. 68 + 69, you will then post them both on Patreon but post ep. 67 on YouTube. Now Patreon is at ep. 69 while YouTube is at 67. See? You did the same amount of reactions, and posted two videos on both platforms, but with just two uploads you have now have also two more videos in store for One Piece ready for YT. So if during a week you don't feel well and don't do any reaction for Patreon, you still would have a video for ep. 68 and one for 69 to post for YouTube. If you do that just for a month, you can easily build a large gap between Patreon and YouTube that you can promote to incite people to join and also have many videos in storage ready for YouTube even if you feel unwell and can't do new reactions. Once you are comfortable with the gap you have created, you return to post double reactions on both platforms, which at that point will simply be de-synced by the gap you have created. If you feel bad for YouTube you can also mix and post single, single, double, for example. For other series, your best bet is to just build a lead when you start a NEW series. E.g., let's say that you start Full Metal Alchemist and do single episode reactions instead, you can just post the first 10 episodes on Patreon and only then start releasing the videos on YouTube at the same rate you post new episodes on Patreon. Or alternatively is changing the rate at which you move videos from Patreon to YouTube, e.g. for every 3 episodes you manage to make for Patreon, you post two on YouTube. I'm not sure if that would work, but the point is to tweak in the RELATIVE flow of content between the two platforms. This is irrelevant to how many videos you can make, that will always depend on how you feel and you should not force yourself to do more. I hope I made myself clearer... I'm suggesting this to make you do LESS work but in turn, making it more effective and worthwhile. All of this because it seems to me that you tend to try to "binge" things when you feel well to catch up only for all that work to go to waste when you can't make new content. I just wish you good. P.S.: I don't see any issue with the Twitch streams. Other content creators do the same too.

leviathan_13

Praying for your good health 🙏🙏

Tuff

Your videos always help me out, and I'm sorry you're stuck having to deal with so much shit constantly. Fingers crossed that you get some good news soon!

Liesmith

:D thank you! Yeah I took a lot of time to make sure I could still keep the best experience as I could for Patreon beans by not having vods for twitch and having emotes only on while the show is going on.

aliciaxlife

Your profile picture is adorable. Secondly HELL YEAH!

aliciaxlife

💖 I’m so happy to be on this journey with you all

aliciaxlife

Thank you so much for your understanding. It’s really comforting seeing this

aliciaxlife

Fingers crossed! Myself and all my siblings watch your content and we’re all rooting for you! Keep doing what makes you happy, cuz that makes all of us happy!

I press my thumps that the surgery is going well. I think the Twitch streaming is a good Idea. No Vods is a good Idea. To just allow emote while watching is also a great Idea. No Spoilers and other stuff that can happen. Stay strong. Do your things as you like. No pressure. I will look forward to your reactions anyway. You do not have to do Content every day. Greetings

MoD+

We appreciate you so much Alicia. The dedication you have to your fans is so admirable. We're all out here pushing for you. Give that Cancer a Gum Gum Bazooka outta your life.

Rick Sturgis

Use Deku as an example and smash that cancer with a 1,000,000% Delaware Detroit Smash! In all seriousness, take care of yourself - your health (physical and mental) is very important ❤️

TheTrashBandit

I think we all agree that we are happy because you’re happy just go at your own piece with the series
