If it actually gets to 3 I imagine they would probably just do everything at this point. It's not like after season 3 GoT it was still in question if they would finish it.

2023-07-23 02:04:51 +0000 UTCThere is SO much love put into this trailer that you can see if you look through it bit by bit. From bit-part characters (the guy Nami kicks in the nards in ep 1 of the anime can be seen) to future threads (some of the bounty posters on the board at the end of the trailer) to the clothes choices (a lot of them from various colour walks) to the small details. Oda greenlit every change and dropped a post saying there were no compromises made - that he stands behind the show 100% and that he loves all the crew and people who went into making the show and will go to bat for them against the haters. He notes that changes were made - had to be made - but that they made sense and he got to add/change things as he would have wanted if he went back and wrote the story again. So it's not going to be a 1:1 with the manga, or the anime (which also isn't 1:1 with the manga) but it does have Oda's blessing and that's really all I need to get hyped about it. It looks great and I hope that Alicia will react to it when it comes out because I'd love to see her get excited about our newest beans and how precious they are.

2023-07-23 01:18:36 +0000 UTCHe and Gin have been cast, though, so maybe it'll be a case of him rocking up, Mihawk rocking up, him leaving the party because hell naw. There was a short scene in the teaser that showed Fullbody fighting against someone who may have been Gin in the Baratie (the part where Sanji is holding a tray and kicks someone). It's far too soon to believe that Kregory and Gin aren't going to be in it when the guy who Nami kicks in the balls in the first episode (on Alvida's crew) has been spotted. XD

He also said he'd fight anyone who gripes at the cast and peeps making it (kinda. Well, he said he stands behind them 100% and to come to him if people hate on it since he's happy with the whole.)

So they really are giving this one a hard go, doing the damnedest they can to make sure it's accurate. Or as accurate as they can get it. I can clarify if anyone is curious, since I do have them pulled up (though I don't know if Alicia would like me to post any links here. Links are cringe, after all.)

2023-07-22 21:26:35 +0000 UTCMy biggest thing whenever they do Live Action adaptations is to remind folk that it really isn't for the fans, y'know? They're not trying to sell fans of the show on a new adaptation, this is for everyone else. For the people who go "Oh One Piece too long" or "Oh I don't do anime" or like my own mother who's like "Oh I don't do anything animated". This is more for them, to bring more people along on the greatest adventure the world has ever known. That being said I am in *love* with the casting and I am so beyond pleasantly surprised with how fun this looks. I can't wait to watch it with all my friends :)
