2023-07-23 18:08:13 +0000 UTCIt's interesting. I get the feel that our protagonist was ground down so hard by the corporate world, that when everything broke, he was freed. But this girl is still trapped in the grind. She wasn't ground as hard, but as a result is still doing what is needed instead of what is fun. Symptomatically of this being that one of the first things she does is to call the office in LA. Sure, there are good reasons for trying that, but still felt a bit like; "Oh, there's a zombie apocalypse. Well, I still need to meet in at work." *cough* covid *cough*. I wonder what it'll take to drag her out of it.
