2023-07-24 19:42:08 +0000 UTCSomething I've noticed is that while the many colors of blood like plaint are always there in the spatters in the background, we only ever see those colors on the zombies themselves when the main character is present. When scenes are from the perspective of other characters, the blood on the zombies is only red instead of a mix of paint colors. I think this shows how much the mc's mental state got weird from his experiences, with how everything looked colorless to him from stress and overwork. And now this is how he sees the world. Because, no matter how fun it might be to watch an mc with a personality like this during an apocalypse like this one, we have to acknowledge that it's not a normal mental state to be that hyper in such circumstances.

I was a *huge* fan of the manga so to get such a beautiful, heartfelt reworking has been beyond my wildest expectations. I think my favorite aspect right now is, like, a lot of the more emotional moments we've been seeing (Akira confessing his first love, him apologizing to Kencho) were more played up for laughs in the manga with goofy imagery, but here they really shine a more humanistic, heartfelt light on it and it's just... AGH MAN IT'S SO GOOD IM SO HAPPY AND IM SO GLAD EVERYONES ENJOYING IT!!!!!
