About not giving the answers, I disagree. Neither is the correct route. It depends on the person and what you are teaching. You can't teach geography without literally giving the answers, there's literally nothing BUT the answers to it. But you can't teach philosophy with answers alone, because only the history and the study of philosophy has answers, but philosophy itself just unanswerable questions and subjective answers. Though All Might is right, he can't just give Deku the answer, but at the same time, he gave the only correct answer. Not imitating him. Besides that, any other correct answer would be to invent a special move for him. The objective is to teach how to reach the answers and sometimes that can only be done by literally handing them over.

I'm following way too many nsfw accounts to use a name here

The fact you are seeing a character not yet introduced is a spoiler. Context or not doesn't matter.

Okoga

Crazy to me that there are people that don't think showing characters you have never seen before in the OP are spoilers, bro, some characters have crazy introductions and being like, "Oh, I have seen him before." can ruin it.

Okoga

tiny pet peeve, but did they really brush teeth before eating?

Speed1247

The last one literally spoiled Dabi's fire and Toga's needle. Plus All Might vs All for One and some other things

Jay (aka Kairukurumi)

Imagine modelling your fighting style off of your idol you obsessively followed for nearly your entire life.

Princess Paladin

This episode always gets me. Here we got Midoriya. Smart, capable, and a bit uncertain, but always analyzing everything. IMAGINE for just a moment, you realize after broken bones, destroyed flesh, and epic battles, that you do actually own a pair of legs.

Xanis

"A whole two more limbs I can break!"

Squirrel

There isn’t spoilers in MHA openings (usually). There isn’t any spoilers in this one. The only thing that could be possibly considered spoilers is the few minor/side character appearances with absolutely no context. There aren’t any fight sequences from the season either so you won’t be spoiled on that. I could be getting op mixed tho, so definitely check what other people say, but from what I can see most people are at a consensus. Really the only thing to think about is if you want to see some of these later to be introduced characters/side characters. They don’t give names, context of their powers or any of that. So you’d just be thinking ‘who are these characters’.

Trinity

The new opening shows a handful of new characters we haven't seen yet, but outside of that, I wouldn't say it shows any spoilers. ultimately it's your call whether you wanna skip em or not, but we'll let you know when it's completely safe which should've be too much farther than where we are now

Justin Payne

The spoilers in the OP may be minor, but it might be interesting to see her react to new characters as they appear in the show rather than seeing them in the intro first.

Steven Bermudez

I'd say minor character debuts with no conext spoilers

Tyler Denny

There aren't any spoilers in the opening.

Serith

If you want to be absolutely sure about spoilers, you should be able to watch after Episode 19.

Jay Redmond

@Stephen Japan does have anime-only as a concept, because there are plenty of anime that aren't adaptations. A good example is every Yu-Gi-Oh! anime after Dungeon Monsters, the anime for those released before the manga and have drastically different stories. In fact, VRAINS never even got a manga at all. And let's not forget the most well known, Dragon Ball GT. Zombie Land Saga is another good example, where the anime actually started, like, the week before the manga started.

Jay Redmond

Nice Reaction. It think you can look into the OP. Its just showing charakters that will be there in the Pre Hero License Test. The whole arc is a bit mor fluffy, whats good. Fun Fact to the shoes. In the manga is a whole long ass explanation about it. But in short. These are special shoes, to support his kick attack. Extremly heavy and build to transfer the Impact too 100% in an double impact or something like that. However, perfect shoes for kicking people :)

MoD+

A major joke here with "TDL" being the training center is that the word is normally used for Tokyo Disney Land. This is a comeback joke since the last training center where the villains attacked was called "USJ" or Universal Studios Japan.

REI

Thanks for the episode

TrinitytheApostle

@Stephen I always heard anime was mainly advertisement for the manga though. Anime itself doesn't usually make much money but people wanna buy the source material and merch.

Munir

Love the argument that this man took 3.5 seasons to figure out that he can use his legs. I know it's used to call deku a bad character but I just find this HILARIOUS.

Sam Smith

Whores are professional. I'm a hobbyist.

Stuart R McCafferty

You mean I can KICK??

matthew bremmer

Who ever told you the opening has no spoilers is right there really isn’t any same for the ending

RoyalArc7

"You mean I have.... legs?!" o.O

Liberty

This is fair as we weren't concerned with spoiling Alicia for characters in the previous ones (for example, ninja-guy and pussycats), only the big name characters/moments.

Liberty

Boy rediscovers new limbs to shatter like glass

Shadowsofpain

The main issue is that the creators assume that you’ve already seen the manga so they’re trying to get you hype for shit you know is coming. Japan just doesn’t have anime only as a concept

Stephen Rockford

It really was so simple. Deku just constantly saw himself as essentially All Might Jr, the second coming of All Might. So he just made it a foregone conclusion that he should fight like All Might did, even using All Might's moves..... BUT HE IS NOT ALL MIGHT. He is not the second coming of All Might. He is Deku, the ninth holder of One for All. It's his turn now to grow that power. Like he told Todoroki, it's HIS quirk.

Dyno

let's gooooo we're in the second half of the season

Ronix

Also EP has zero spoilers too, it’s literally just Deku running and absolutely the best ending song in the series imo 🥹 It’s disgustingly bittersweet

Dudefrombelring

Deku after 3.5 season: "I HAVE LEGS!"

Albert Rhodes

Honestly new OP only shows off new characters, not story beats so unless you REALLY care about just seeing character designs early then you’re good to go, this OP is safe from the jump.

Dudefrombelring

All Might: "You're still trying to imitate me." Hatsume: "If you want to cool your legs, then run on your hands!" Deku: "Wait...I just figured it out...to take the burden off my arms, I need...I need...A GUN!"

Liesmith

Man this new opening is so fire, now ''my disappointment is unmeasurable and my day is ruined'' XD (/s for gen Zs)

Rick Baron

Did you just call me a whore? I find that very offensive. I never charge for my services.

Not Six Raccoons in a Trench Coat

The new opening truly didn't had any spoilers, the only thing you could call a spoiler is that it shows new characters that are involved in the episodes, but doesn't show anything about their abilities or the plot, it's safe to watch

Rick Baron

hey alicia the new op actually does show off a bunch of new characters and places so good call skipping it

Potato

I both love the progression of Deku's fighting style as a natural extension of his mental flexibility and think this revelation he had is absolutely hilarious. "I... Have *four* limbs, not just two...! :O"

Koirby

I would say the op is good to watch it only really spoils characters you have not met yet. unlike some of the other op's for MHA that spoil whole fights.

Bocchi the Cook

with OPs ive always been the "the creators wanted me to see this so i'll watch it" kinda person. but as you are worried about spoilers, id say skip this one for now, for no reason other than itll at the very least show a bunch of characters which might technically count as spoilers
