Marin does modeling jobs outside of school. Clothes and hair, mainly. The manga does focus on that stuff later, and Season 2 will probably get to that point.

The wig shop, the lingerie shop, the fabric store, you can find them all, and they look exactly like they do in the show. They go to a park for a cosplay event, and that is Ikebukuro park, and the stairs they sit on are in sunshine city mall next door.
